Anyone take zonisamide?

The neurologist prescribed it yesterday to help mitigate the shaking. However the list of side effects, including "common" and "very common," are terrifying. I don't know which is worse!

This didn't help the shaking all that much in fact I wondered if it make me shake more. It also made me feel sluggish and tired.

These meds all seem to complicate the symptoms of the P.D. further for me..I take the lowest dosage that I can so as not to maximized issues...less works better for me as well-you have to notice and know yourself and your responses. I just got BDS on Nov. 5th and it gets turned on on Nivwmbwe 25tg-I can hardly wait-meds are definately less needed when you have a DBS device implanted.

My meds seemed to make the shakes worse and I was concerned they lowered my blood pressure when it already is low. I weaned myself of the meds with my neuro docs approval. Been two weeks still not feeling quite right. Anyone else stopped meds, if so how long before you felt ok

My doctor tried that drug on me and the first week to a week and a half was great. However, the side effects started to get stronger and stronger and I felt wiped out most of the day and ended sleeping over 12 hours a day. That was when I decided to lower the dosage gradually until it was safe off me to get off it completely. It took my about five days for me to feel normal again after ending it.
