Zoladex

I have a feeling it could be because the NHS are saying no to firmagon because of its cost, but am worried Zoladex will not be as effective? He also questioned the monthly injections of xgeva, but I also thought they were essential when on a drug such as firmagon or Zoladex?

He was given radiotherapy and put on Zoladex for two years.. At the outset he was given a bone scan, and a single patch showed up on his rib but the hospital couldn’t decide whether or not it was a met or an anomaly.

Laparoscopic surgeries (3 now) have not worked, Pill hasn’t worked, Zoladex hasn’t work. Just thoroughly beaten by it all now 😞

Where to begin..I had my last lap last October following a 7 month course of zoladex, I was then discharged so I have been under ‘care’ of go since still get pain although I take the pill back to back I have withdrawal bleeds every 2 month before I have time to have s 7 day break, I get severe diahorrea

Is anyone on zoladex? And tibolone?

I had Zoladex 4 weeks ago, and my boob are incredibly swollen, painful and my nipples are the same as well as really distended. Has this happened to anybody else? Does it last? I have also found that I have put on a lot of weight very quickly. Has anybody found this too? What tips would you give?

I am on 125 mg of Ibrance, Letrozole, and Zoladex. For the last 2 weeks, I wake up feeling good, but develop a fever of aroun 99-100 degrees every day between 8 and 10 and feel crappy. I have had a cold for a week or so that I can't shake, but was wondering if anyone else has this going on?

Hi all, I have recently started having the zoladex implant and my skin has broken out in so many spots. Does anybody have any recommendations for spot creams or face/body washes that actually work?

I went to see the specialist who suggested removing the coil and starting Zoladex again with the addition of HRT.

I was prescribed a monthly injection of Zoladex to try to stop the cyst from filling again for 6 months. I'm about to have my fourth Zoladex injection at the end of this month but in the last week or so I've started having a bit of a period on and off for the first time since having my op.

I had a community gyny appointment today and they have told me as tricycling my pill isn’t helping they want me to try 6 months worth of zoladex injections. Has anyone else tried this? I’m quite scared about it.

Dads first psa reading post radiation for a bone met and two months on Zoladex was 0.4 (down from 1.4). Now 8 weeks later it is still 0.4. Is this ok? Dad seems flat after the appointment, has also been given bone strengthening meds and mentioned that he didn’t realise how aggressive his cancer is.

Was wondering if anyone here has had zoladex and hrt? What are the side effects? They want to start getting me ready for surgery to remove ovaries, womb

I didn't know if anyone else had similar reactions to stopping zoladex? They may give me another 3 months after a DEXA scan whilst I wait for op, but I'm feeling unusually fatigued at the moment. Thanks in advance.

I have been on Zytiga, Zoladex and steroid since then and I’m now 50. My PSA remains at zero and I recently changed my steroid from pred as this can help prolong the effects of Zytiga.

So he is recommending Xtandi (along with continuing Zoladex). My thought is I just lost 3 years of my life. I looked at Erleada lasting at least the median of 40-48 months, then Xtandi for 20 months, then Chemo for 18 months, then I guess hospice.

When I came round the consultant told me that the endo was quite bad and he didn’t do anything other than stitch me up, prescribe Zoladex and re-schedule surgery.

I have completed 7 weeks of RT , 2 weeks ago and am on Xtandi and Firmagon for 6 months now after been diagnosed as been resisrant to Zoladex. Been running the Gauntlet for 6 years to date, but now i have Feelings of anxiety and chest pains, could this be caused by my current Meds?

A few days later I got a Firmagon injection (now Zoladex 10.6 every 12 wks) and on June 23rd received my first Docetaxel drip. I take 10mg of Prednisone in the morning. June 12, PSA - 450 Aug. 2, PSA - 3.0 My Oncologist is happy, I'm happy. Cheers

Currently on Zoladex and HRT. No pain medication touches the pain, not even Tramadol. Anyone found anything that helps. Desperately need help to manage the pain now.
