Recently commenced Levothyroxine treatment but need advice re: weight management and bloods!
I have read alot over the past few days about getting adrenals checked and how
zinc
& selenium supplements can help thyroid function. I have purchased these supplements from the health food shop and I am taking them in the hope they can.

Newbie diagnosed with PCOS - vegetarianism, weight problems and implanon - can you help me?
I've read some stuff online that, for example, a vegetarian diet can cause
zinc
deficiency which can affect PCOS? Any advice would be very much appreciated. My last question relates to fertility and ensuring I am getting 4 periods a year.

Do I need selenium if I'm taking NDT?
I am also taking feratin, b12, vit C,
zinc
, magnesium and progesterone. It's a nightmare to time all of this properly and I can wait to be able to drop some of the vitamins once I get my levels up, especially the ferritin as it blocks other vitamins from working.

Mercury and Fibro
I find it very ironic that regulatory agencies require that the materials that make up an amalgam filling, such as mercury, silver,
zinc
, copper and tin, must be placed in a hazardous waste container when enters the dental office.

Under a magnifying glass
I am worried about the food additives used in supplements like B12,
zinc
tablets etc. I have reading glasses (+2.75) and yet I am not able to read the informative labels in small print. I need to have a magnifier with me!

Received my results back from Medicheck last night and would really appreciate any comments
I recently started on selenium/
zinc
for about the last four weeks or so. I have severe osteoporosis but am inclined to have high blood calcium so no supplements with suspected primary hyperparathyroidism.

Pooling T3?
Also cortisol: last time it was checked (saliva test in April), my cortisol was too high and i take
zinc
and Holy Basil for this. Or is it perhaps because i need to change to T4 only - Levo - and add in a lower dose of NDT for some extra T3?

2 month update and odd symptoms to add.
It's been approx 2 months that I've been taking 50mg of levothyroxine (Actavis) I also take vitamin d3 supplements and magnesium, calcium and
zinc
. I'm 36 but feel like I'm in the body of a woman post 80! I ache in almost every joint. My hands, arms, sacrum, pelvis and feet seem to be the worst.
