In other words, would anybody know if

New oncologist
I apologize this is long, but I need some help. My oncologist resigned in May without warning. I have seen his PA for the past 3 months. I'm not exceptionally fond of her (she's judgmental and gives me the impression she is nosy. This is her 2nd career, she was a journalist before), but I understood

Newly diagnosed and BRCA2 mutation
Hi all, My father (71) experienced frequent urination at night starting end of March this year. He had some blood test and had a PSA 13.6 at the end of April. His doctor wanted him to do a biopsy (they didn't do a digital exam though) At that time, my parents were preparing their trip from China to

New mets
A few weeks ago I told you folks that I had two new mets, one on my skull and one on my ankle. I was a basket case until I saw my oncologist. He was not worried in the least and said that my ankle could be arthritis. Even if it’s not he said that some Mets will pop through the bones that had started

Side effects, what are "YOU" willing to put up with? Seriously, what? I put up with headaches, painful injections and a basic feeling of crap for years on interferon Beta 1B(Betaseron). Even worse for my month on Rebif Interferon Beta 1A. None on Tecfidera, and it is a tablet so no needles.

Anyone experienced Jaw Necrosis from Zometa infusions.
I am 20 years out from my initial Stage IV terminal diagnosis in 1999. I had Zometa in 2004 and 2005 which resulted in early stage jaw necrosis which was handled by stopping Zometa and antibiotics . It has returned with a vengeance now and after 4 months of treatments nothing is working. Anyone have

Hi, My dad, 75.5 years old was recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer with PSMA PET SCAN showing Mets to multiple distant lymph nodes and one met on the pelvic lymph node. He does not have any pain and got detected due to a constipation problem. His initial psa was 114 ng/ml, Gleason 4+4, he

PSA down further and starting Docetaxel today
PSA continued to drop from 0.41 to 0.232. Just started my docetaxel today plus zometa and Lucrin ( ADT). Feeling a bit 'hype' after the treatment. Could be the dexamethasone. Managed to get some rest and feeling fine. Oncologist has asked me to stop the Zytiga when I am going thru the docetaxel treatment

Approved Treatments for Triple Negative MBC Patients
This is the fifth and final post in a series about FDA-approved treatments for each sub-type of MBC. Next week I’ll write about MBC in men, who represent about 1% of all patients. The treatment description below for Triple Negative MBC patients has been reviewed with a Medical Oncologist at Columbia

Dental extraction while on Zometa
I am currently on Abiraterone, prednisone, Lupron and infusions of Zometa every 3 months. Zometa strengthens my bones due to lesions on the spine. Zometa has an adverse effect on the jaw and weakens it. I had to have a full dental exam prior to beginning my treatment and was told that tooth extractions

New to ms the first week of many weeks
New to Relapsing Remitting ms (RRms) its first week month decade. Everything is a learning experience. Mistakes will be made, I most certainly made mine. People will give “YOU” suggestions and make recommendations. They may appear reasonable but, this is an incurable progressive chronic condition

Today, received first infusion of Taxotere, while PSA <0.02...
I know there's been some recent posts about why Taxotere, but created a new post because I'm currently hormone sensitive. Diagnosed about 10 months ago, PSA 1000+ with large tumors extending prostate with extensive metastasis throughout pelvic area and lymph nodes involvement. After 10 months of Lupron

Recommendations for additional supplements?
Hi Comrades, I see a lot of posts talking about using diet supplements, herbal additives, garlic, curcumin etc... I'm just wondering...are there recommendations on what I should be adding to my diet and what I should exclude to bolster my fight with this beast? I'm on Zytiga at the moment. I
