just wanted to provide an update on using immunotherapy, in my case Opdivo and Yervoy. Some background: 6 years after my initial diagnosis of OVCA, it was discovered via a raised CA125 and subsequent CT Scan, that I had developed 3 tumors on my Psoas muscle of my back.

I just finished my second round of immunotherapy, which is Opdiva and Yervoy . After one month my CA, 125 dropped from 133 to 53. I’m truly astounded and hope it keeps working on my clear cell tumor. If you’re OVCA is clear cell, you should inquire to your oncologist about this.

anyone that been on Opdiva/Yervoy combo? May I know side-effects and whether it worked? It’s to control a tumor on my back psoas muscle, which was the spreading of OVCA clear cell 6 years after initial diagnosis. TIA.

It looks like our insurance already authed Keytruda, but from what I can loosely understand online, Yervoy may be better? Still waiting on his genomic biopsy results to come back.

This treatment can be a combination of a check point inhibitor like Keytruda, Yervoy, etc. with or w/o radiation or cryotherapy as well as possibly an infusion of an immune stimulator like GM-CSF or radiation therapy alone.

I do wonder if this is in regards to CHECKMATE 650 and the decreased responsiveness to Yervoy and Opdivo by patients that had been treated with docetaxel. At this point, maybe there is no take home message from PEACE I..... Don Pescado

ASC0 released adjuvant clinical trial from 2015-17 cohort comparing Keytruda vs Yervoy vs high dose interferon for Stage 3A-4 melanoma patients. Adjuvant Anti-PD-1 Misses on Overall Survival (OS) in High-Risk Melanoma, but pembrolizumab topped active controls for relapse-free survival.

In the CHECKMATE 650 trial (Immunotherapy), people that were chemo naive had a 25% response rate to Opdivo and Yervoy versus only a 10% response rate by those having previous chemo.

"Ten of 35 (28.6%) patients responded to the combination of nivolumab (Opdivo) and ipilimumab (Yervoy). The activity fell short of the 40% threshold for a positive outcome but well above the historical response rate for immunotherapy in patients previously treated with docetaxel."

I have been approved to start trial and was wondering who else out there has or is going through it and can share their experience.

Questions: 1- anyone else experience with MD's taking watch/wait approach as this is the largest area to appear since dx 2018 so making us nervous. 2-Anyone with experience with Opdivo/Yervoy?

I feel loved and also really awful to leave people thinking the worst...Joe is a fighter and continues to fight.at last post I believe he was finishing up the checkmate 650 trial- Opdivo and Yervoy. He did all 4 infusions to no avail.
