Xtandi

My hubby has been on Eligard since May and on Xtandi since mid July and is already saying he doesn’t think he wants to continue with the treatments. He said he is going to ask his oncologist how much time would he have if he stops and I told him everyone is different so no one knows.

Quick update: brother DX 2018, G9 with Mets, Lupron, Docetaxel, Provenge, Zytiga,Xtandi, ARV 110 trial, Keytruda (msh2 +6, HTB). Keytruda lasted eight months with no side effects. Bone scan in November stable with ALP at 109. PSA rose to 45 and lymph nodes were all growing.

On Xtandi and Lupron and Zometa. Feb PSA at .31 May PSA at .29 Aug PSA at .21 Sep PSA at .27 Next test in Nov. Hopefully just noise or random fluctuation. Nov will give more of an idea. At least we know what to watch for. And have some plans ready to consider.

What has been your experience with Xtandi / enzalutamide ? (I am not excited about playing Russian roulette with possible hypertension (12%), electrolytes imbalance, seizures, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, ischemic heart disease, and falls and fractures. B.

What if I take chemo with Xtandi instead of Abiraterone and Orgovyx? Any thoughts? What has worked before when the PCa is out of control?

He has had: taxotere, xtandi, jevtana(with carboplatin added after a few infusions) and we are now looking for other options. Thank you guys as always 🤍

Have been taking Xtandi and Lupron for nearly four years following chemotherapy. Medications have effects. Some are desirable, some are undesirable. My PSA is down from a high of 59.9 to around an average of about 5. I am still alive.

Started Xtandi and Lupron a year ago. PSA went to undetectable almost immediately. MO and I agreed to take a 6 week Xtandi holiday but continuing Lupron. I'm uncertain as to the wisdom of this draw down however 4 days in to life without Xtandi I'm hoping for improved QOL.

Why is Xtandi also so strongly encouraged along with the radium? Isn’t one poison enough? I worry about his energy level. ADT , Xtandi and Lu-177. Will he even have enough energy to enjoy life.

PSA before - 4.0 PSA after - 0.3 He has been able to control with Avodart, Casodex and Metformin. 06/27/18 started Lupron when PSA was 1.1 10/16/19 started Xtandi PSA 9.3 6/16/21 Pet CT PSMA mets to liver.

Xtandi and Xgeva are the current treatments. This isn’t all that great news either…There appears to be involvement of nearly every vertebral body. As an example the entire vertebral body of L1 is sclerotic. There are partial sclerosis of the other vertebral bodies.

Onc prescribes Lupron and Xtandi. (Surgery or radiation were not suggested.) Lupron side effects scare me, & it seems once you're on the chem train, you can't get off. I'm tempted to not take the drugs, just live as healthy as possible & risk a shorter but hopefully higher QOL.

His MO put him on Xtandi and the side effects are very difficult. We do not know yet if it is working. Just wanted to check on other experiences. We have been battling this monster PC since 2008. We are feeling down. He has heavily involved bone Mets. Thanks!!

It seems the German therapy is not working any longer- his PSA is climbing (383) and his local oncologist has him now on Xtandi. Chemo was tried unsuccessfully. We are researching what else might be there. Thanks to everyone!

Stopped daily Xtandi. Day 14 - entered hospital for 5 days. Started in ER where all patients initially start in lieu of getting admitted directly into the overwhelmed hospital with barely any beds available. Day 16 - finally put in a hospital bed.

I would appreciate you if you could share your experience in taking 80mg Xtandi, instead of 160mg dose, that can as well contain your low level of PSA with us. Thanks. If low dose of 80mg works, why go for 160mg as suggested by the doctor. Do they do it (high dose) for profits? Thanks.

This started BEFORE starting on Xtandi and BEFORE the HBO therapy. Anyone else ever experience this and what treatment did you get. My hubby has just about zero control of urinating now. This has been building up for months and prior to starting on his cancer meds and treatments.

After 11 months on Firmagon, now Lupron, and Xtandi, now Zytiga/prednisone. My PSA is finally below 1 at .67 !! T @ 0.0%. The first 3 mos inject of Lupron was June 10th.

My pharmacist called me the other day and told me that Xtandi is now available in 80 milligram tablets. Is this something new or is it just reaching us in the hot, humid, Deep South?
