Xtandi

Started Xtandi June 5th, 27 July---PSA .01-----So grateful for this report, It has been quite a roller coast ride up and down with my emotions this spring and summer. I have had to manage when I take the the Xtandi because of sleeping, but for the most part it has been going good.

psa six weeks ago 7.9, started xtandi June 10th, two weeks psa rose to 13 .3, six weeks into taking extandi 21..3 . Am I overly anxious for it to work,most say it takes 3months to work, one posting took 6 months and more to work.

Also both the new tumour mutation outbreak, and the original tumour set are responding to Xtandi since the downward trend is steeper than the original trend on Zoladex only.

Since then, he’s been on lupron and xtandi, which have been keeping his PSA stable. He had scans last month, showing the nodule on his lung had not grown, and no bony metastases, which we were happy with as he has had very minimal side effects.

But in the aforementioned threads, it seems so many have had chemo and Xtandi or Zytiga and all sorts of clinical trials and/or other newer txs (like LU177). So I repeat: is there a definition of or understanding of what constitutes advanced PC. Do I even qualify to be here? Mel

DX with PCA stage 4 in January 2021 psa 79 started lupron and xtandi. Last July 2021 psa drop to .83 today June 29 2022 0.1 anything else I should be doing..Thanks

The hot flashes that I have been experiencing since starting my ADT treatments (first, Eligard & Xtandi, now Orgovyx) are limiting my sleep and the frequency of them has become more than just a little annoying. The change to Orgovyx was due to lesser cardiovascular issues.

I'm sad to say that my husband, 2 Dee, passed away 2 months ago. I wish you success with your continued battle.

CT scan and ultrasound have shown no significant change since the initial diagnosis April 2021 with surgery to remove tumor from the spine. Harrington Rods were inserted in the back to support the spine. Now regaining the ability to walk with a cane, which given surgery; was unlikely. Numbness persists

What time do you take xtandi, ? I have been taking it with breakfast but around dinner time I feel nausea then around 7 I am starving. The pharmacist suggested I take it before bed so the side effects would be less, usually go to bed around 2am and eat breakfast around 10 to 11 or so.

He could not take the Xtandi, pains wrapped around chest to back and more.How hard on the system is taxotere? husband is up for that next, 1st a liver biopsy. But 2 weeks away. He is losing strength fast, just my feeling to do this now , not wait.

Several rounds of chemo, spot radiation, Zytiga, Xtandi, and three treatments of Lu177 have all since failed. He’s currently only on the Orgovyx. Innumerable mets on scans, all in the bones. No soft tissue involvement.

XTandi is 15K a month, luckily my insurance pays 100%. My Orgovyx is about 3K a month, again insurance pays 100%. Insurance is through my employer. Are there any insurances for retirees that pay that well?

Friend is on Xtandi alone and is in similar position but is undetectable. Thoughts? I HATE Lupron.

I've just syarted my 3rd week of Xtandi -without any side effects until yesterday and much more so today. Both feet are now covered with red blotches and I have red spots over both legs and my chest.

He has been quite miserable since December when he switched from Zytiga/Prednisone to Xtandi (his MO took him off of Xtandi after 5 weeks but he never got his strength back….until now).

During last 8 years on ADT, and last 2 years of Xtandi, I am facing continious loosing muscles, as well as weight, of course. Bones metastases prevent me regular training, exept walking dogs few times daily.

Anyone have any experiences with switching to Xtandi from Zytiga? He will still be on dexamethasone and the Zoladex shots.
