Severe asthma made worse by acid reflux
I’m on lanzoperazole 30mg twice daily as well as preds and my usual asthma drugs which include
Xolair

If you are on prednisone/olone full time, what is the typical daily dose?
My consultant proscribed a taper from 20 mg per day for a week, then 10 mg per day for a week, then 5 mg per day, while I am waiting for
xolair
(allergic asthma). He stated that 5 mg will minimize any side effects.

taking seretide (advair) and Qvar together
Thus, I am skeptical about what the NHS
Xolair
panel will recommend in my case, since they rely on PF and FEV1.

O2 saturation and heart rate
High IgE, high Eos, prior diagnosis of asthma, attending a severe asthma clinic and prior
Xolair
treatments are hard to explain while having an asthma attack, and they do not check records. I understand that they have to make judgement calls, and when I collapse they finally give me O2 and nebs.

Is anyone here on it? How do you find it? My allergist at St. Thomas' has suggested it for me and I'm looking to understand how people find it in terms of their MCAS/Mast Cell disease? Thanks!

Mattress for dust mite-induced asthma
. *********** Following a severe exacerbation, for the last 3 weeks, I've been living and sleeping in an a pressurized HEPA tent in our living room, on sick leave, waiting for
xolair
. The exacerbation was most likely pollen-induced (so the sensitivity to dust mite also flared up).

Xolair side effects
I’ve been on
xolair
for three months but am finding the side effects quite nasty for a few days, really bad fatigue that totally wipes me out and stomach cramps. I’m due to speak to my consultant in a few weeks. I was wondering has anyone changed to a different biologic due to side effects?

Controlled asthma & allergies- reducing meds
Since being on
Xolair
, my asthma and allergies are so well controlled that both my Respiratory Specialist and Immunology Consultant are happy to start reducing my meds gradually. Has anyone reached this stage of their treatment? Although I’m excited, I’m slightly apprehensive.

Hi, so just seen my Allergist and they've suggested this medication for my MCAS etc. But on the leaflet it speaks about Asthma and I know it's used in asthmatics. How do you guys find it?

I’ve just started on

Severe asthma treatment
I’m on fostair 2 x 3times a day, qvar 800,
xolair
& fexodenadine, montelukast, carbocisteine. Last time I was tested I wasn’t eligible for the other mabs. I’m having repeated flares of my asthma & eczema . I respond to pred. Intermittently wheezes (not always), tight chested & cough.

Any experience with Xolair injections?
Received first
Xolair
injections today, got a bit dizzy and headachey. I have been told this is normal, but anyone have any experience with this drug? I want to feel results soon, but know it takes time to build up. I have 50% lung function and severe allergies, IgE 457.
