How long before you see effects of Dupi?
I am at the beginning of week 3 (also off
Xolair
on week 3), and I mostly feel the effects of
Xolair
discontinuation (slow deterioration). While I was doing well on
Xolair
, I was also receiving de-sensitization injections twice a week (in the US).

I have been on
Xolair
for 7 years partial success My IGE is quite high and the
Xolair

Xolair
keeps me alive, but it's not enough. I also used to take allergy injections with
Xolair
, and felt great during those times.

big problems with consultant!
So went to Wythenshawe who agreed I had severe asthma, I had reactions to mixed mould/aspergillus etc on blood tests, IgE was abnormal, FEV1 was below 80% so they put me forward for
Xolair
in 2021.

Keeping the weight down despite asthma and prednisolone
Medication-wise, I am on
Xolair
, 2 mg maintenance pred and Trimbow. They are putting me on Dupilumab to experiment. But I honestly have lost hope that I will ever be able to exercise outdoors w/o some air purification device.

Oxygen levels/peak flow
I had
Xolair
which didn't do anything. My IgE has been about 90 in the past. Yet I suffer a lot in hot weather and pollen seasons.

Side-effects of using Ventolin every day
I am also on
Xolair
and Trimbow. Thee two allow me to sleep and to work at the computer; without them, I would be in a hospital. But they are not enough for living a productive life.

Outdoor symptoms: daily patterns in ozone
My defenses are
Xolair
, steroid inhalers, the rescue inhaler, rescue steroids, an FFP2 mask (if particulates are the problem), a full respirator (when ozone or smells are a problem), staying indoors, exercising indoors, and my "safe space" in the filtered-air tent (HEPA+activated charcoal).

asthma and the seaside
Hi everyone I really struggle in the summer with my asthma, have tried all sorts such as
Xolair
which didn't work for me (not eligible for the other biologics apparently) It seems I'm just expected to get by on steroids and staying indoors.

Allegra for asthma?
Getting
Xolair
, anti-IL5 mAbs, prednisone, inhalers and other drugs was super-easy. But I still get very chest-tight due to the high pollen counts. I believe here the pollen-triggered asthma is worse, b.c. of the warmer climate and more vegetation.

consultant wants to reduce inhaler
I was tried on
Xolair
in 2021 and had no response. They refused to see me during my Sept flare-up saying I should see my GP and it couldn't be asthma as my PF wasn't dropping (bear in mind this a regional severe asthma service...)

Xolair experience with Germany and Switzerland
May I ask if anyone here is familiar with getting
Xolair
in Germany or Switzerland? I remember seeing posts for France, saying that experience there was mostly positive (easier to get
Xolair
). I will most likely have insurances in both Germany or Switzerland.

Cytokines and MPN
I was referred 7 months ago to a hospital specializing in MPN, there I was told I most likely have PFM, so I have been taking Jakavi 2x10mg, Aspirin,2x Fexofenadine180mg for the allergy plus a monthly shot of
Xolair
. This cocktail of medication really helps me.

Transition from Xolair to Dupixent
Hi everyone, I have allergic asthma and I was on
Xolair
for three years. My doctor recently switched me to Dupixent to see if it's a better fit (I was still having flares on
Xolair
).

Admission
Also was meant to have my
Xolair
but there was a problem with the prescription so it was delayed by 2 weeks. Feel like this was just a recipe for disaster leading to the exacerbation. This waiting for my
Xolair
seemed to make my whole system freak out.
