I saw on NHS website they may give injection for people who don't response to inhaled corticosteroids, does anyone take these injections and I feel I may need to take it because it about one year my asthma persist and its not good because I thing this problem may cause air way remodelling,
NHS recommendation as below:
For some people with severe asthma, injections given every few weeks can help control the symptoms.
The main injections for asthma are:
benralizumab (Fasenra)
omalizumab (Xolair)
mepolizumab (Nucala)
reslizumab (Cinqaero)
These medicines are not suitable for everyone with asthma and can only be prescribed by an asthma specialist.
The main side effect is discomfort where the injection is given.
Asthma UK has more information on Xolair and these new treatments for severe asthma.
