panicking!
Over the years he has taken
Xgeva
, Xytiga and Erleada. All of these worked to keep his PSA undetectable. However each drug gave many side effects, that over time became intolerable. In last 2 years, my husband has had stomach problems, and has just been diagnosed with gastroporesis.

Pluvicto
My husband developed necrosis of jaw due to
Xgeva
, had one surgery and molar removed. It came back and just had another surgery with 6 nights in hospital and the second surgery plus part of jaw removed. This was after original surgery and heavy antibiotics for 6 weeks.

Lymparza not working
He is also on
xgeva
. He then went on zytiga for about 7 months before it started failing. He did get accepted in the luteciun trial at Penn on control arm. He did very well on Xtandi but was ended this past Aug when Penn saw progression but the trial folks did not so no cross over allowed.

Long Journey
I was placed on Lupron,
Xgeva
and Erleada (apalutamide). That worked for 5.5 years until we figured out Erleada was making me dizzy. Tried Zytiga, S/E were too much. My Dad passed 5/22. One month later had my first PSMA PET. Found out I had mets to my bones. I freaked out. Had Provenge.

Becoming mCRPC despite falling PSA
Since then, he still gets his 3month Lupron shot,
Xgeva
and daily Zytiga (2x500mg and 5mg Prednison). The PSA declined further in 2023 every time it got measured and is now around ~0.03. During the summer he had no pain and one could forget that he has this terminal illness.

went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
I’m also having to go back on the
Xgeva
. I’m really discouraged and feel out of options but obviously saving my life comes first.

Spot Radiation before Pluvicto?
He’s nearly 80 now, not 70, so there are the comorbidities of age + heavy, heavy treatment: total years of Lupron/Eligard (7 yrs and current); 9 weeks of radiation; 10 rounds of chemo; 3 yrs of
Xgeva
(started 6- month schedule recently). Failed Zytiga.

Xofigo+Xtandi beats Xtandi alone for mCRPC
Compared to Xtandi alone, Xofigo+Xtandi: • improved radiographic progression-free survival by 31% • improved overall survival by 31% These were men who had predominantly bone metastases and all received a bone strengthening agent (Zometa or
Xgeva
). They may have received Zytiga previously.

xgeva or zoledronic acid for bones ?
One MO has prescribed
Xgeva
and another MO has prescribed zoledronic acid to strengthen dad’s bones as he has to start ADT from Tomorrow. What are most people taking and how do you react to it ? Do you take it at the same as taking the ADT injection ?

Still true that using same scan type is preferable to changing scan type?
He's been stable since chemo with his current Eligard &
Xgeva
treatment--see full Profile for his record of Lupron, radiation, Zytiga (failed), Docetaxel at year five, followed by lifelong Eligard and quarterly
Xgeva
.

Taxotere causing horrible neuropathy on just the 3rd day.
On top of that they opted to inject my
Xgeva
dosage on the same day, which has proven to be a bad choice. My teeth feel as if they're disconnected from my skull and floating, and i have pain radiating back in my jaw towards my ears.

Piqray Scans
She did say if the markers go up again she is going to want me to start the
xgeva
AGAON monthly ( we switched it to every three months) I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with their markers, trending up, but having amazing results in your scan.

Update On Eclipse Trial-another failure. Has LU-177 worked for anyone?
Dorf, continued Orgovyx with 90-day shots of
Xgeva
. (My hemoglobin immediately dropped to 12.) At the thirteenth month on Orgovyx, PSA began a slow rise indicating castrate resistance. We briefly added 250mg Zytiga + 5mg prednisone before starting Eclipse trial (LU-177 I&T) in June 2023.

First blood tests since starting Abi.
Xgeva
is the next step. I get a Dex scan in Dec. I have a great MO and Urologist and I thank God for them and that these treatments are available. God Bless.
