Looking for my Miracle
Most recently I had to go onto
Xarelto
, 'tho I resisted it for all the years because of side effects when I took it. I've developed a thrombus in my left atrial appendage which significantly upped my stroke risk, so I am now on
Xarelto
with all its side effects.

Successful PFA of multiple COX lines, Ligament of Marshall and a Chemical Ablation (Ethanol) of the Vein of Marshall
Yes, I have continued the
Xarelto
for the time being. My 4th PVI ablation lasted two years. Then all started back fiercely... which is why I was willing to keep trying ablations as long as they were trying a different method.

I don’t know if I should just stick it out or switch to
Xarelto
that my doctor said I could switch to. the doctors never believe it’s from the medication but I was fine and then this started up about two weeks ago and has gotten progressively much more painful. I’d love any feedback.

2 years today , no afib episodes
I take flecainide , metoprolol , and
Xarelto
. No ablations. I'm also really surprised at how long reprieve has lasted. But here's some things I've done that I think have helped. I started walking 2 times a day for a total of 4 miles, up to 7 miles in the winter.

Looking for help with coming off aspirin & on to Xarelto
But my GP has prescribed
Xarelto
which I will start taking. However I read that aspirin can stay in your blood for 10 days, should I wait 10 days before starting
Xarelto
, or is it safe to start now? Thank you Kate

post cardioversion
Amioderone and
xarelto
controlled it until after 6 months amioderone caused my thyroid to quadruple. So stopped amioderone. After
xarelto
resulted in an internal hip bleed was switched to Eliquis. Had an ablation Jan 2023 so still in blanking period.

AF but erratic pulse rate is below 100
I am on
Xarelto
, bisoprolol and Irbesartan for BP. This episode is a little different in that my only real symptom is an irregular pulse rate but well within the guidelines.

Update on the AF journey…
No
Xarelto
any more from last week . Said my chad vasc score is 1 so essentially same as risk of major internal bleed hence no medical benefit to being on it. So flecainide and bisoprolol it is. Review in 3 months. .

Best OTC pain relief while on Xarelto/ DOACs blood thinners?
I am new to taking blood thinners and probably will be on them for life. My question is what is a safe pain relief sold over the counter for occasional use for minor aces and pains? I believe aspirin is not a good choice?

anyone heard of long p wave
Still in hospital with New med trial is bisoprolol, flecainide, amlodipine,
xarelto
. They say the flecainide is causing long p wave- I was taken off of flecainide in 2019 , but I thought it was for long qt wave. On this regiment of meds, no more spiking of heart rate, it’s now in the 70’s.

Bad test news - questions to ask doctor
He was put on
Xarelto
20 mg. He has always been asymptomatic and I was naive since he was so active and healthy. Forward to 2023. Husband is now 68 years old. Plays golf daily and works in our yard. He fainted one night going to the bathroom.

To travel or not…
I was out on
Xarelto
by the ER department and my family physician upped my previous blood pressure medication which already included bisoprolol. Flash forward a year and in February of this year I had my first AFib event post cardio conversion.

withdrawal symptoms Edoxaban
Had a trawl online and this is well documented with
xarelto
. I have problems with any drug that crosses the blood brain barrier , had similar problems with Bisoprolol. Of course worried in case I had a bleed or needed surgery and had to stop them abruptly .
