Medications that are BAD for your bones?
Newer anticoagulants that don’t inhibit vitamin K such as Pradaxa® (dabigratan),
Xarelto
® (rivaroxaban), Eliquis® (apixaben) and Arixta appear to be safer for the skeleton than Warfarin or heparin.

One MD's 'Informed Patient' is another's 'hysterical female'...can one be both?
Hijacked onto Rivaroxaban (
Xarelto
) 20 mg daily. Thirty-day Holter indicated Bradycardia issues along with an escalation of AF episodes along with flutter after commencing
Xarelto
. Anyone else notice or correlate this after starting an NOAC?

The Magnesium Miracle
I'm presently only taking
Xarelto
and resigned to the fact that I will be on this forever, so feel that I at least have some protection. Before starting the magnesium I had an RBC blood test done to determine that my magnesium level was low.

Just getting it of my chest
He advised I take
Xarelto
and I wanted to know all about it. He said if I didn't take it I would have a stroke that would be worse than an ordinary stroke and did I realise I was 15 minutes into a 10 minute appointment so I could take it or not! Now i don't know what to do.

7 weeks post second ablation (my first post apologies for the length)
Dr. put me on low dose nadolol 40 mg for 4 weeks, and
Xarelto
for 8 weeks , with instructions to stop both after that time frame. Follow up visits were fantastic, no arrhythmias so far almost 7 weeks post 2nd procedure, but I have a weird issue I wonder if anyone else has experienced.

low platelets and rivaroxaban (aka Xarelto)
Recently after a blood check my GP noticed I had a very very low blood platelets count and mild anemia. I take the tablets rivaroxaban due to my atrial fibrillation. The tests are continuing to try to identify the reason for my low platelets reading. I asked the GP if the drug rivaroxaban I am taking

Pip and anticoagulant
Why not just take a
xarelto
at the same time you take the pill in pocket. I have read the anticoagulant work within 24 hrs, so why stay on them 24 7?

93 year old Mum with vascular dementia, advice please regarding supplements vs anti-clotting drug
After the pacemaker she developed a DVT and was put onto Rivaroxaban (
Xarelto
). This was decreased after 3 months. Mum has deteriorated significantly in this time and has got so weak she now has to use a raiser chair. I was told to not give her any supplements with the Rivaroxaban.

However over time this progressed into AF and after my last episode it has not returned to NSR, I had an ECG last week and GP has started me on Bisoprolol (2.5mg) and
Xarelto
, it's only been 4 days but I hoped I would have returned to normal.

Taking propafenone and xarelto
I went to cardiologist, and he put me on
xarelto
, and propafenone . I take 150 mg. every 12 hrs.( they are not extended release). Took only two pills so far. It got me out of afib in a few hours, but next night I got a new arithmia. I have read that this drug can sometimes cause new arithmias.

Normal for post ablation?
Only on
Xarelto
20 mg for AF. EP has stopped flecainide and digoxin altogether. I have a checkup on Dec. 8 with EP. Does this sound like anyone else's experiences for cryoablation? It's hard to find solid information for normal happenings post ablation. Trying my best not to worry.

Xarelto or also known as rivaroxaban
Good morning, at the advice of the cardiologist my father started this new medication to replace the warfarin. His INR is now 1.51 instead of 2.5 that used to be with warfarin. The doctor advised that the range with rivaroxaban is different to the warfarin and 1.51 is the perfect norm. Does anyone have
