PAF - second opinion _news
Luckilly, I came across a post on other afib forum, about patient gone on/off
Xarelto
at least 8 times over the past 2 years, with the approval of EP, without problems so far. Each time he get cardioverted he goes on it for the following 30 days. On day 31, he stops until the next afib incident.

Flecainide and doom and gloom sensations
I also take
Xarelto
15 mg at night. Since being put on these two meds I've experienced anxiety attacks now and then, (plus a general feeling of anxiety most of the time). Along with this are dreams that, although not nightmarish in content, come with a frightening sense of doom and gloom.

Coming off Tambocor (flecainide)
I am still on
xarelto
(anti coag) and cardicor (beta blocker) and am now feeling all manner of anxieties and palpitations. Is that how it is when you stop taking something that you have taken for so long and/or will magnesium deal with this?

Tooth extraction on blood thinners
Anyone had extractions while on
Xarelto
or any other blood thinners? If so did you have to stop before and after? And how did you find the bleeding? Thanks for any replies 😊

Cryoablation tomorrow
I've been on Metoprolol,Sotalol and am currently taking Multaq and
Xarelto
. All meds worked for a period of time but AF always got worse eventually. Now I'm getting bouts every other week lasting 4 - 6 days before going back into NSR for about the same time.

Is my reasoning reasonable?
It's been a month since I have needed to take a daytime dose, though I continue with the
Xarelto
, telling myself that if I did happen to have an undetected AFib event, I'd be protected from stroke by the
Xarelto
. The reason I'm posting all this is to ask if any of it makes sense.

Newly Diagnosed...I Think
I had a PE 2 weeks ago & now taking 30mg
Xarelto
. I'm 66, non-smoker, healthy, until this event, which I was told in ER was on the low scale of seriousness. My primary doc told me this was just a blip, I'd be on blood thinners for 4 months & move on.

Crohn's disease and lung cancer
I was prescribed
Xarelto
and told that it would dissolve in 4-6 weeks. 8 weeks later I had another CT and was diagnosed with another clot in my vein. I went for a second opinion and was told that he didn't think that was the problem and I needed a different type of scan to further evaluate.

Failed bone marrow biopsy
However, I had recently taken
Xarelto
which had caused bruising . However,at the time of the biopsy I was no longer on
Xarelto
and no longer had bruising. I really need feedback on this because I am worried.

Medications that are BAD for your bones?
Newer anticoagulants that don’t inhibit vitamin K such as Pradaxa® (dabigratan),
Xarelto
® (rivaroxaban), Eliquis® (apixaben) and Arixta appear to be safer for the skeleton than Warfarin or heparin.

One MD's 'Informed Patient' is another's 'hysterical female'...can one be both?
Hijacked onto Rivaroxaban (
Xarelto
) 20 mg daily. Thirty-day Holter indicated Bradycardia issues along with an escalation of AF episodes along with flutter after commencing
Xarelto
. Anyone else notice or correlate this after starting an NOAC?

The Magnesium Miracle
I'm presently only taking
Xarelto
and resigned to the fact that I will be on this forever, so feel that I at least have some protection. Before starting the magnesium I had an RBC blood test done to determine that my magnesium level was low.
