Am I a candidate for getting Hashimoto's?
Hello, my name Is Jacqueline. I am 53 years old female! I am very new to this forum so please be kind! :) I've been going through difficult times these past few years that my GP prescribed me Effexor 75 mg which I took from June - Sept 2016 when I announced to the doctor that they didn't do "shit" to

Son’s 1st day on Quillivant
My son is 7(8 in less than 6wks) and I noticed when he was 3/4 that he was ALWAYS extremely hyper, never still, constantly talking, no activity kept him interested for long, usually did several things at once...often not completing one. Once he was upset, it took a lot to bring him down and his emotions

Bad day
After a pretty good two days today has been yuck. I feel like I’m having a little asthma and very tired plus my heart is flipping a bit. I took my Xanax and hope it calms me down. Don’t you just hate this 😠

New to depression medications.
Hello, I am new here, and I have been fighting depression problems for as long as I can remember. Never wanting to get out of bed, never having any motivation, and just wishing that car would run that stop sign and hit me so it could end my pain. I was always embarrassed about how I felt, my wife knew

Another turn for the worse.
Its been a month since I’ve had a really bad panic attack so i dont know if its my bodies way of remembering that. But today has been tough. Even with xanax. Been having crying spells all morning because i feel lonely and hopeless. Racing thoughts about the unknown. Thinking of solipism and all that

Mentally tired......
And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse I had a panic attack today and rushed myself to the hospital because I literally felt numb and lifeless.Turns out it was just another attack.I think this is due to the fact that I worry so much all the time about my anxiety because it’s been 12 years and

To seek a 2nd opinion or not
So my son was dx with adhd and on focalin xr and had an amazing week at school. He has definite opp defiant behavior too which isn’t great at home yet. Do I stick with my current psychiatrist who is amazing tho not a great rapport with son. Or do I go for a 2nd opinion with a psychiatrist who is hard

7yr old on Focalin but something has to change
My youngest boy struggles tremendously with his ADHD and the effects it has on him. He has taken guanfacine and tenex in the past. The guanfacine had no effect on him and the tenex made him an emotional mess! We have had him on Focalin XR during the day and Focalin in the evening. He has been taking

I want to get off of my medications
Throughout my anxiety journey I've been on probably around 20 different psych meds. None of them ever seemed to really help, but they all gave me their own side effects, lol. Xanax helps of course, but I'm very dependent on it now. I've been taking it daily for a few years and I would like to just get

Please help. I’m a 26 year old husband and father of 1. My life is in utter turmoil!
To start, I’ll say this is all very new to me. Before this whole ugly episode started, I had no mental health issues, no symptoms of any type of mood disorder, no need for medication of any kind whatsoever. Within 3 weeks all that has quite suddenly changed. Let the story begin... Since I graduated

Meds stop working??
My 12 yo daughter has ADHD and some anxiety and depression. The Dr put her on 20mg Adderall xr and 10mg lexapro for four weeks and suddenly she started getting aggitated and sad. Do the meds just stop working? This isn't her first med but better than the last. Any suggestions on what to do? Can't
