Hello, like a lot of people with hypo and Hashimotos I’m still struggling to get to bottom of why I have so many symptoms but ‘normal’ results. I take 75mg a day of levo as was looking to increased by a small amount but not looking likely. . Doesn’t sound like they can test t4. I’ve finally got myT3

Hello helpful people Just been to pharmacist at GP, unable to actually see a GP of course, been told I have high blood pressure and may need medication. However my recent blood test showed I was prescribed too much levo. Is there a connection. I am 79 years young. I have been advised to lower

hypothyroidism and peripheral neuropathy
I have hypothyroidism diagnosed in 2019 from a blood test with no symptoms that were recognised as such. I now believe, confirmed by advice in this forum, that my levo dose was too low, and have recently succeeded in getting it increased. At around the same time I developed aching, weakness and numbness

Endocronologist experience
Hi there, I recently had a top end and very experienced endocrinologist tell me that the 1.6mcg of levo per KG in weight was an old fashioned and outdated theory. Is this the case? I have just upped to 100mcg and was just wondering if I’m on the right dose. He seems to think that’s ok for me.

Anti-nuclear factor
Hi all, My most recent test results have, in addition to a high TSH (8.57 mlU/L, normal range 0.27-4.2) despite having had an increase of Levothyroxine to 100mcg in June and a TSH reading of 1.35 in August), my Anti- nuclear factor test has also come back positive, homogenous pattern. Has anyone else

Hello all, I posted many years ago about the rocky journey I've had with my thyroid. I am extremely sensitive to levo and can only tolerate small doses. I had been

Suspect Medichecks Thyroid test is incorrect! Is this possible?
Hi all hope everyone is well on this glorious autumn day. I am really well, but according to recent thyroid test done, via medichecks, 12 days ago I should be experiencing hypothyroid symptoms and really out of it but I am not. In fact I feeling really well, best in a long time, so beginning to suspect

blood thinner easiest on stomach
Hi! I have been on Eliquis(apixaban) and just a half dose because of my sensitivities to get me used to it for seven weeks. I have a lot of stomach upset and discomfort and nausea on and off and lots of gas and it’s hard to think of living in daily discomfort for the rest of my life on this blood thinner

Is this thyroid or perimenopause or something else?
About 3 months ago I had a few weeks of feeling dizzy, faint, low resting heart rate and brain fog. All these coincided with me losing weight - this may or may not be relevant. medication increase?
I have been feeling achy and my heart has been beating either too fast or missing a beat. I am also finding it hard to lose weight despite doing Weightwatchers. Is this a sign that I may need an increase in my levothyroxine? I am currently taking 75mcg daily.
