I’ve had a bumpy ride over the past 4 years, some of it self-induced by being impatient. When I started testing my thyroid everything was low inc tsh and cortisol, in retrospect I suppose my body was just trying to survive on drippings. I was never sure I had a thyroid problem as my tsh was always

Real issues with brands
For many months now I have been having real issues trying to get my usual thyroid brands and along the way I have been given (and tried) other brands which caused a really severe reaction so I am very limited now on the brands I WILL try because I refuse to go through the hell I went through again.

Frustrating GP appointment
I've been struggling with a return of some hypo symptoms since my tsh-must-be-in-range focused GP reduced my Levothyroxine from 100mcg daily to alternating between 100mcg and 75mcg. Since then I've had problems going to the loo, I've put on that much weight I can no longer fit into my jeans, I'm constantly

Is this low B12 / folate?
Hi all! Curious if anyone can advise please- I am fatigued (really struggle at work), brain fog, aches and pains - have been taking HRT for few months but not cured it! Also stable levothyroxine for many years and have Psoriasis although mild. Wondering if I should ask GP for further investigation

Vitamins D and K7
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism nine months ago, and prescribed 50mcg levothyroxine per day. No mention was made of Vitamin D results or any related issues like ferritin,or B12. I take Vitamin D 2200iu throughout Winter, and, as of October 23, after some online research, added Vitamin K2, 100 ug.

Viatris 5mcg liothyronine feedback please from NHS
Hi. Has anyone taken Viatris 5mcg liothyronine T3. Or can you compare with other liothyronine 5mcg brands. My sister has just been prescribed T3 alongside her usual levothyroxine T4 medication privately as her latest T3 results was low (24%) But a huge surprise was that her NHS GP gave her a liothyronine

Subclinical hypothyroidism
I was always told I had secondary hypothyroidism and suddenly my clinic has me listed as subclinical or mild hypothyroidism. How can you be on levothyroxine 137 and be listed as mild? Is this a new label after twenty years?

NDT taken at same time as Trospium - issues
I hope this is OK to post here? Taking NDT at the same time of another medication may have implications. I’ve been on NDT for the past few months, replacing Levothyroxine. Having been taking Levo first thing in the morning, I continued with taking NDT at the same time. So, having taking Trospium

My sis newly diagnosed and prescribed 75 mcg Levo but GP refuses to test free T4 or antibodies.
Hi my sister has had TSH result of 5.3 (0.3-3) and has symptoms and been prescribed 75 mcg Levothyroxine. GP refuses to test for free T4 or antibodies. I don’t think she should take the tablets until she has a baseline free T4 tested and antibodies. What you think?

upping meds in pregnancy plus vitimins.
I went to my GP in very early pregnancy (4.5-5weeks) as had cramping and spotting, and also arranged bloods, as I knew I should be monitored as high risk with hashis/hypo. So on the 1st March my TSH was 0.13 mIU/L but after discovering I was pregnant and going for said bloods on the 18th March - I was

Amiodarone and pre-existing hypothyroidism
I was wondering if anybody has any experience of this. I have persistent Afib which we’ve stabilised after several cardio versions and an cryo ablation but as soon as I come of Amiodarone revert back into Afib. I’m awaiting a thermo ablation and hope that this will allow me to come off this awful medication

TSH dropping, but FT4 stuck
I started levothyroxine on 10th August on 25mcg, then went up to 50mcg in September, then 75mcg Nov and I'm now alternating 75/100mcg every day. My TSH has dropped considerably, however my FT4 has got stuck at the very bottom end of normal and doesn't seem to be rising despite me increasing the dose

Low TSH with mid range FT3
I'd recently gone from taking 50 mcg Levothyroxine per day to taking 75 mcg Levothyroxine per day. I take Tirosint, which is Levo with fewer fillers. My fasting blood test results are as follows:
14 March 2024
- last taken Levo more than 24 hours prior to test TSH 0.58 (0.27 - 4.2)

facial and neck swelling part of Hashimoto’s?
I have a doctors app booked for this week but at the weekend my sister noticed my face was swollen. She also agreed my clavicle area was too (I’ve previously posted a pic here). She took some pics for me which I’ll post and you can really see the difference from when it’s swollen vs not! She said it

Any information about Levothyroxine, pros & cons please.
Hi could anyone give me any information on which is the best tablet to help with Thyroid. I have tried previous tablets in the past but these cause me to have severe anxiety. So the actually issue isn't that I have too much or too less thyroid, I have been told the pituitary gland is having to work harder
