Taking NDT at the same time of another medication may have implications.
I’ve been on NDT for the past few months, replacing Levothyroxine. Having been taking Levo first thing in the morning, I continued with taking NDT at the same time.
So, having taking Trospium for several years, with brilliant effect, I started having the same issues I had before taking this medication. As the timing seemed to roughly coincide with starting NDT, and nothing else had changed, I began to wonder if the NDT was causing it. I changed taking the NDT to when I got downstairs/breakfast and, within 3 days, I’m back to ‘normal’ regarding bladder function.
I can only think there’s something in the NDT, maybe fillers, that negated the absorption of the medication, hence rendering me as if I’ve not taken it.
I know different meds can have effects with other meds, of course, but this was a very important discovery to me and felt it might be useful to someone at some time or other.

It’s often mentioned on this forum how replacement should be taken away from food, supplements & other medications as they affect absorption of the replacement. So it makes sense this can happen with other medications too.
Thanks. PurpleNails. I wasn't sure whether to post or not. Like many of us, I take quite a lot of meds (tablets/capsules etc) If they need to be taken before food, or early, it's getting difficult for me to separate them. I don't like taking meds during the day as I'll often forget them, especially if out etc.
However, this problem is now sorted, thank God. I've had problems with (presumably) fillers whereby the medication didn't get into me so have to avoid the specific manufacturer. Some meds it's difficult to know if something has interacted with absorption, I think. In this case, it became all too evident so pleased I worked out the reason
Yes it can be very difficult to stick to timings & ideal spacing of multiple meds. Especially as we need to sleep & eat. & those on shift work can find it very complicated.
When I first had medications, I had a dreadful memory. Forgetting pill altogether or assuming I hadn’t taken & taking double.
For anyone struggle to manage medications I found using a pill organiser helpful & either setting alarms on your phone or using a pill reminder app. I choose an app which alarmed when pill were due & you had to tick off once taken. You got fun or interesting photo at end of day. (If you ticked all your targets!) I don’t use the app anymore, as memory better & in the habit of remembering.
Pleased your memory has improved. Sadly, mine is terrible but has been since Primary School, so many years ago LOL I have to use logic to remember anything
😂I put meds into a 7 x 4 section plastic container and do 2 weeks at a time. Also have 7 x 1 containers for the 'first thing' meds. I have one medication kept in fridge so I put a tic-tak in the box, to help me remember the fridge ones LOL We just have to do what works for each of us, eh? 😂😂
