Can low weight take a toll on Dexa results?
I've recently heard and read lots of conversations regarding DEXA results and low weight, I was diagnosed with osteopenia at the age of 31 (a year after my pregnancy) my height is 160cm my weight used to be 49 kg. No underlying health reasons were found except extremely low D vit and calcium levels

Can we purchase T4 in UK without a prescription?
Could somebody PM me please regarding the above. I have developed a few issues over the past 2 months since changing to Bitiron and think I would probably do better to take thyroxine separate with a small amount of liothyronine. I swopped from Thyroid S to Bitiron in October because it just didn't

Hi again folks Thanks for your replies to my previous question - I’ve added more information as requested. I took the blood test early in the morning 24 hours after my 125 mcg dose of Levothyroxine. I take a Centrum multivitamin for over 50s women a couple of days a week plus a high dose Vitamin D on

Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Test
Unable to get a full Thyroid Panel from my GP - I took your advice and went to Medichecks for an Advanced Thyroid Test - as I now have the results - I would be grateful for any input that you can give me please. I am still feeling really unwell with many of the dibilitating symptoms that I have had

Too much iron?
I had the results of my Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test yesterday. I have had Hashimotos for many years and am on 125mcm Thyroxine. My antibodies were very high, as always, but free T3 and free T4 were well in range. My TSH is always rock bottom as I have secondary hypothyroidism.

Latest blood test results - now including vitamin checks!
I love how knowledgeable and helpful people have been on here so I’m back! Nov 22 - TSH was 0.13. Doc was concerned I was over-medicated but I felt great, so she left me on my dose which was alternating 75mg one day and 100 the next. Jan 23 - TSH was 0.37. Not sure if it means anything that it’

Advice on blood results
Hello - thank you to this community I am much more informed about thyroid issues and role of vitamins in its function. In Oct I had to remove my thyroid because of cancer and started 120mcg Levo, increased to 150 in December. My latest results are: TSH 0.04 (0.4 -4) - surgeon wants surpressed T4 22.3

Problem just above my ankles
From time-to time I wake up during the night with pain just above my ankles, usually at the front of my leg. It feels a bit like cramp, but is an unusual place to get it. If I get out of bed and walk around for a few minutes it is ok again, but it does happen quite a lot. I am currently on 4.5mg started
