I saw Dr Scott Cooper this morning and I am hopeful that he will help me. He was familiar with augmentation and was very thorough is his examination. He has ordered a full iron panel and checking B12 and magnesium levels. In all he is doing 3 panels. He is also doing nerve conductivity test. He said

Newly diagnosed with low VitB12
Went to the GP a few months back with menopause symptoms. Mainly sleep issues, anxiety, brain fog and fatigue. The doc ordered a full fasting blood count which come back with me having low vitamin B12 (175), low vitamin D. (live in Scotland so most people are) and folic acid levels on the low side although

”Reduced b12” - panicking
Hi everyone, I must confess, about 3 months ago, I didn’t even know what b12 was! But I can only apologise for the essay you’re about to endure. My story is a fairly long and often confusing one but the upshot is, about 10/11 weeks ago, I began with what seems now to be a panic attack in work accompanied

Hello I am new to this forum but a long time member of Thyroid UK who basically saved my life 13 years ago. I am 70, have mild COPD, and until recently have been relatively healthy. I took a dive in Oct/Nov last year and have had chronic fatigue really since the end of last Summer. I thought - "Ah

high active B12
Hi, This is an extension from my previous post which has all the history on it. I think I’m going to email my haematologist for a referral to gastro re my 2 inflammation markers and abdominal issues maybe causing absorption issues. Could this be a thing with such high levels of active B12, as I can

Test Results interpretation
HNY everyone! I got my test results back from the GP today. She did a full MOT (although didn’t include vit d or ferritin) but I’m not sure what they mean or if they are optimal. My vit b12 is 502 (197-771) Serum folate is 8th/L (3.0-26.8) My thyroid results are meaningless as I had taken my meds

I am on a short course of Doxycycline for a skin infection. Should I not take my MXT during this time? I take 20mgm MXT once a week orally and the usual Folic acid daily except for the MXT day. The course is about one week

I've been on 75 mcg levothyroxine since 23 August 2023. I've taken levothyroxine since January 2023. Is this the correct dosage now? I've never had any of the conventional hypothyroid symptoms, except for extreme anxiety and disregulated nervous system, gut issues and tinnitus. On the 75mcg I feel

Doctors visit post blood tests
Hi. I have just been to the doctor's to discuss the blood results I recently posted on here. I'm getting celiac test done and he has put me on vitamin D. He said to take a multivitamin to improve my folate level. He thinks my symptoms are down to taking too much levothyroxine, he said I should reduce
