Just had a blood test…
the nurse took just one blood sample/vial. I was booked to have thyroid, vitamins and sex hormones tested…does anyone know if all those tests are usually done from the same sample?

Should I push for an ultrasound of my thyroid? I have primary hypothyroidism without Hashimoto's...
Hi guys, I'm back! 4 months ago I asked to go up on my dosage of levothyroxine (I was on 50mcg) but the GP declined. However, I had a blood test again yesterday and my TSH has gone up more, and my T4 dropped more, so they are letting me go onto 75mcg - result! As of the last blood test (yesterday), my

low or high stomach acid?
I have been suffering with heat in my chest and a cough and have started lansoprzole which has helped but not much. Prior to this, a lot of stress with antibiotics and antifungal medication for infections. Could I have low stomach acid instead? I am testing my thyroid privately and vitamins to see

Help with not tolerating T3 Liothyronine
Hi again, This might sound like a stupid question but does Levothyroxine increase T3 or does it just increase T4 (and of course lowers TSH)? The reason I ask is that I have now been taking Liothyronine 5mcg once a day for over two weeks and I feel worse than just on Levothyroxine. If I increase to

Increased anxiety…
My last blood tests showed I was under-medicated, with a low tsh. I’ve booked to see a thyroid specialist and will be having a whole raft of tests done in the next couple of weeks (I think ….thyroid, cortisol, vitamins, sex hormones). The problem is - anxiety. I’ve had it for years on and off, low-ish

Suspected Malabsorption
I have an underactive thyroid, after a few months of being diagnosed I was losing nutrients I told my doctor I thought I had malabsorption syndrome, they never said anything and they order a test for celiac but was negative, I've been supplementing with vitamins since.... But over the last 3 weeks/month

Here we go again latest results & any advice before appointment with nurse practitioner.
Following on from my previous post I am trying to remain positive prior to my meeting with the nurse practitioner to discuss my latest results. Although I have remained on the same dose of thyroxine 150 my percentages have changed. I had hoped to make a case for a trial of T3 to improve my T3 percentage

Just need a little positivity - only one transfer
Hi everyone, just after a little positivity. We have one blastocyst that has made it through the PGTA testing which I know is amazing but this is our one and only shot. Can I have some positive stories please? This is the first and only IVF we are going to try. I am 38, my partner is 44. I

After being on top of the world for quite a long period of time (which I'm so very grateful for), I am going through a terrible flare (assuming), the reason(s) for which I think I know...both physical and emotional stress in short order. 3 week Update
Well 3 weeks in on multiple vitamin supplementation. Helen feels she's sleeping better (she seems to be easier to get up but still feels yucky. She generally manages to get a little bit more done but we've been undone by a 4 year 3 month £600 Miele washing machine dying on us which meant a distress purchase
