My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson's 4 years ago aged 64 and is finding walking and balance becoming increasingly difficult. My father who died aged 79 also suffered from Parkinson's I myself may be displaying early indicators of Parkinson's having developed a very poor sense of smell around 8 years

I had C4/5 disc replacement surgery 6 months ago, after suffering severe myelopathy for 3 years. Recovery has been brutal and I’m experiencing neurological symptom I never had before the surgery. I have the antibody type PA and I’m wondering if anyone else has had experience self-injecting B12 in a

hey all I’ve been underactive for quite a while now and on 50 Levo a day for a long time, in that time I’ve been told I’m b12 deficient low iron the lot but I can’t help but think it’s actually all down to my thyroid? Had these tests done today and doctor has advised to up to 85 levo a day, I feel

thyroid and high blood pressure
Hi all So have been struggling to get a GP appointment to discuss my Thyroid meds. After MUCH sulking from me my medication was reduced to 75mcg from 100. Although I managed to hold out for 100 whilst I was on holiday- feel not so good so have been trying to get my meds reinstated. This since end

Rasagiline/Azilect?
Hi ! My hwp (77) diagnosed 2017. But of course with hindsight symptoms manifested earlier. Started C/L last year : 25/100 @ 3 times a day. Azilect 1 mg once a day . Walking became a really serious problem a month ago. Partly because of ongoing "sciatica" but also freezing a few times a day. Two weeks

Hi I posted a while ago about the brand of thyroxine I’m on (Accord), just had my blood results. Recently moved doctors. After getting my results doctor has advised if you take thyroxine the NHS will only test TSH now. My old doctors used to do T4 and TSH. I could never get T3 done. On a positive

Hi all. I am now SI EOD and have had my iron infusion which is great. I’ve had my autoimmune blood tests back which show I don’t have an autoimmune disease or Pernicious Anaemia (results attached). I’ve been advised that means I have a gut issue which is blocking absorption, I’m keen to get this looked

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….

Out of interest......what were you initially (mis)diagnosed with?
I'm just wondering what people were initially misdiagnosed with? When I was at my most unwell my GP at the time wanted to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia. I was adamant it wasn't that, and would not accept that diagnosis. Another GP at the surgery was talking about going down the MS route. That was until

help please, liothyronine, Roma brand
please forgive how long winded this will be I’m spaced out and not with it at all. I only posted a few months ago and my T4 results were a little on the high side. I was on 200mcg of Levo and alternate day 225mcg. I’ve reduce this down to 200mcg over 5 days and two doses of 25mcg over 2 days. Example

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anybody here is taking Zypan or have taken it before? Just watched a really helpful video from Dr Berg on YouTube on PA where he mentions this helps to absorb B12 if there is a lack of intrinsic factor
