I Too Have Persistent Afib
I too am in persistent afib (Bradycardia) with no symptoms. I was taking Amiodarone medication which caused internal bleeding. The result was blood in my urine. My cardiologist switched me to Eliquis medication, 5mg at 10AM and 10PM and I no longer have blood in my urine and my Bradycardia is under

Benefit of coherent breathing
Before PMR, I was experiencing bouts of arrythmia. Even on controlling drugs, it still occurred about every 25 days. At the start of PMR, I was diagnosed with moderate Aortic Stenosis. A symptom of Aortic Stenosis can be arrythmia. I was told that my condition would deteriorate and so regularly monitored

Persistent afib treatment options, can't tolerate Amiodarone - so many questions...
I'm feeling rather lost at sea, I have so many unknows and questions so I'm sorry if this is a bit messy. Think I'm looking for your experiences and help with what I should ask the cardiologist about/for. BTW we live in the England so NHS. In short... Persistent new onset afib (always bradycardia) since

Good morning guys and gals.Hope everyone is as well as they can be. Well, here's the promised update from a couple of years ago but to be fair, nothing much had happened on the heart surgery front, I'd been in nsr and I have still been contributing replies. Settle down with a strong drink of choice,

Hi I am getting Arrythmias with increasing regularity after ablation Feb 23.Last talk with Arrythmia Nurse was Atrial ectopics with pause. My readings now seem to have chucked in a couple of premature beats. It feels like I am having AFib symptoms.Light headed, dizzy, exhausted but not all the time. Where

A quick update for those that remember my recent posts about the Ablation complications!
Ablation 16/3, artery got damaged, 3 outpatient appointments, 2 failed attempts at thrombin infusion under ultrasound, emergency 3 day admission to hospital with emergency pseudoaneurysm and arteriovenous fistula repair (pretty major surgery involving patching the damaged artery with cow veins) . Most

advice please
I used this forum some years ago when first diagnosed and was so grateful to everyone. I need advice again, my attacks of Afib are becoming more frequent, I have flecainide as Pill in the Pocket and am using it. My query is should I try and see my GP for a EP consult or just carry on taking the meds

Holter Monitor
I have just had a monitor fitted for 48 hours. The reason for this is after my cardioversion which only lasted about 2 hours I went back into afib. Howerver after about 4 days during the night while in bed I was in perfect sinus rythem. This lasted for about 2 weeks every night and the nurse could not

Can anyone clarify this wording
Hi all Was diagnosed last week with Atrial Fibrillation. Needless to say very worried and upset. Have been reading about what I can do myself - especially weight loss. I have been reading a study and wondered if anyone with medical knowledge could clarify exactly what ‘arrhythmia- free survival’ means

Anyone else in the same boat?!
Hi! A quick review! Diagnosed with fast AFib four years ago and HCM a year later. On too many meds to mention! Last October had my first ablation-which the hospital said was successful. Unfortunately, that triggered another arrhythmia called atrial tachycardia. Back in for another- and the last one

Would you like to know more about your antiarrhythmic medication?
Upon diagnosis of Atrial fibrillation (AF) many are prescribed antiarrhythmic medication(s). These help to restore the normal (sinus) heart rhythm. They work by blocking specific electrical conduction channels in the heart. Some can slow the activation of the heart muscle, and others slow the recovery

Defibs Saves Lives
At just 29 years of age, Tom Lockyer’s Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) story proves that a SCA does not discriminate. It can happen to anybody, at any time, in any age. When CPR chest compressions and a Automated External Defibrillator (AED) are used together, the chances of survival from SCA increase from

chemo and genetic testing questions
My husband’s genetic testing of the biopsies came back. It’s 19 pages and I am having a super difficult time interpreting. His Oncologist Urologist is overwhelmed with duties and we probably won’t get reviewed at the level we need. attaching the executive summary. They said he tests positive for SPOP
