Arial Fibrillation and Cardioversion
I have just joined and read a lot of your posts on Atrial Fibrillation with interest ad thought you might like to hear my experiences. I woke up one night in 2016 with a pulse of 160 against a normal constant of 2016. Next morning a trip to the GP and I was immediately sent to A and E given medication

Norovirus
hi all. We have a sicky bug circulating in our house, which has affected our visiting family too. It’s a strange one that in the last three weeks only infected one person at a time, with at least three days gap between ! I am the only one not to be affected - yet ! What I really want to know is if (

Just wanted to get some of you folks opinion on something. I started my Afib journey back in 1999 and after countless Cardioversions, homeopathic regimens, anti-arrythmia drug regimens, lifestyle changes nothing has worked until recently when my doctor put me on 200mgs a day of Amiodarone. Ablation in March, discharged in August
I am very appreciative of the support provided by this forum. I appear to be one of the lucky ones in that I had my ablation back in March at Bournemouth Hospital and it went well with a quick recovery. I have had no Afib episodes since, I was put on a 7 day monitor back in June which showed nothing

Just diagnosed AFib
Hi, I am reaching out to you because I was just diagnosed with A Fib as well as an irregular heart beat and prescribed Apixaban (and Metroprolol to use if my heart goes out of control -it has a couple of times). Can anyone tell me if I should have any concerns about Apixaban. What I can expect.

Flecanaide and Bisopropol I have had paroxysmal a-fib for 14 years and up to September 2021 always managed to return to sinus rhythm with 200mg flecanaide. I have on average about 20 'blips' a year and during that time I have been hospitalised (twice in the UK and twice in Tenerife)and treated until

Flecainide - Timings?
I’m on 100mg of Flecainide, 50mg twice a day, no beta blockers. My afib is of a paroxysmal nature and each episode lasts usually no more than an hour or so, sometimes minutes. It is however very intense and uncomfortable! I can usually self terminate by exercise or various vagal manoeuvres. I have

Can You Damage Your Ablation Work By Over-Exertion After 5 Months?
I had a Cyro Ablation on March 16 of this year so it has been 5 months. (Today is August 19.) On April 13, I was taken off Flecainide and then put on a two-week Zio monitor on June 30 to see how effective the ablation was at least at that point. On June 23 I had one Afib episode lasting about 4 hours

very early days
I'm post cryo-ablation day 4 and am flipping between NSR and very mild AFib. Literally I can be NSR one minute and the AFib the next. My Kardia is also regularly telling me I am in NSR with superventricular ectopy or premature ventricular contractions. Any sort of exertion (going up stairs, making dinner

Advanced PC with a 90 years old
Hello all. My father got diagnosed in Oct. 2019. His case has been summarized in the profile. He's castration sensitive. After some readings, I'm not sure if the decision to switch from Bicalutamide to Enzalutamide is the right decision. Should he stay with Bicalutamide? Should he take Trelstar shot

Just prescribed Meloxicam by my GP for joint pain and headaches.
I take Eliquis and Amiodarone for my Afib and was wondering if anyone on here has taken Meloxicam while being treated for Afib. I've read a lot of conflicting feedback concerning the success/drawbacks of NSAIDs for people currently on an Afib regimen. Thanks for reading.

Anyone find anti arrythmic drug making afib worse?
I had an ablation July 18. I started having afib episodes a couple days later and doc gave me metrolpolol and flecainaide as PIP. They made me feel dizzy and I didn't tolerate real well but they did make the episode stop at the time. He wanted me on a regular regiment so we switched and he wanted

some of the diy solutions for riding with foot drop
so when I first started having trouble with foot drop it made keeping my feet on the recumbent pedals tough so I made little wooden pads that clipped to my pedals, they were carved to fit my feet exactly thereby cradling my foot to the pedals and was able to ride like that for several more years

Cyclist and Runner Exercising with Persistent Atrial Fibrillation - also considering an ablation
Hi – I originally posted the following (or at least a similar version) through the BHF link but didn’t get many replies. I would really like to hear from anyone who is a keen cyclist and/or runner who has developed persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) and either decided to live with it rather than try
