Changing from MDIs to DPIs for the environment
Like many others, I have recently been swapped from
Ventolin
to Salamol, and like so many others found it wanting. I don't generally use
Ventolin
that often, but through the winter months my use goes up significantlyas I get breathless walking in the cold, in spite of other precautions.

Ventolin and the heart pounding
I had to take
Ventolin
this morning. My earlier post has some background on this. I rarely take
Ventolin
these days. I was about to phone 111 this morning when I thought I should take
Ventolin
before making demands for prednisolone. I took two puffs of
Ventolin
and went back to bed.

i’ve suffered with asthma from a child & have been on

Help/advice for my 4yo please!!
She was on clenil and
ventolin
with montelukast, these haven’t been helping whereas they had before so our GP trialed
atrovent
which also hasn’t particularly helped.

Steroid card Question
However when I asked for another steroid card to put with my
ventolin
from the pharmacy yesterday, the pharmacist told me I don't need one. I am confused as I was told by asthma UK that I need to carry one. Who is right?

Managing occasional breathlessness
Recently I was changed from
Ventolin
to Salamol. I am fine with that in principle, but I have had mixed results when using it. With
Ventolin
I know it starts to kick in after 10-15 minutes, but the first time I used Salamol it seemed to take far longer than that.

undiagnosed, any suspicions/advice welcome
I took six puffs of
ventolin
spaced out that day. By 6pm my heart rate was 130, 111 advised A&E. In A&E it went to 160 so I was brought to resus. They did nothing told me I had taken too much
ventolin
(totally untrue) my heart rate went to 100 after five hours so I was sent home.

Something still not right…. Advice anyone? 🙏🏽
Never use
ventolin
. BUT when I get a cold, cough, Covid it sets me in a downward spiral. This is where I am at the moment.
Ventolin
is used daily. Had a cold toward end of Nov which went to my chest. Very mucky heavy chest with constant asthma.

Peakflow v fev1
My best peakflow reading is 660, but at present I am in the low 400s with lots of
ventolin
to keep it out of the 300s, where I tend to lose control. I am rather out of breath. However my fev1 reading is in the high 300s which is perfectly OK given my age etc.

Using an Expired Ventolin inhaler
A friend just gave me an unused
Ventolin
inhaler. A doctor friend of her’s claimed that it’s safe for me to use, even though it expired in 2018. Appreciate any replies🙂

Asthma Conundrum!
If my symptoms were under control, I wouldn't be needing to use
ventolin
hardly at all. I am having to use it every day, several times a day despite being on this preventer.

Peak flow higher in the evening
He had
ventolin
after doing the peak flow then re check 20 mins later and the reading go up by 10-20. Just wondering if anyone else's peak flow is higher in the evening than the morning as everything online suggests it should be the other way around. Thank you 😊

Asthma attack in woodland - could it be leaf mould?
I had to repeatedly take
ventolin
until I managed to get out of the woods (got lost while in there!🙄). The air was very cold and I didn’t think to take a scarf to cover my mouth, as the weather has been much milder recently.

another flare.
Had a bad attack during the night used ten puffs of
ventolin
which helped. Then it wobbled badly again in the morning. Back to surgery. So now on another 7 day course of 40 mg pred followed by a weeks weaning and antibiotics for chest infection.

Getting off of prednisone not so simple.
Dr. prescribed Prilosec and
Ventolin
.
By Christmas I had lost a lot of weight and decided that I should try going back on Prednisone. I took 10mg. and decreased every day down to 1 and stayed there and my appetite came back and the nausea subsided.

Luforbec.
I’ve ordered this several times and they keep sending
Ventolin
. I’ve got five or six lots of
ventolin
that I won’t be using. I only use it at the end of a cold when I get wheezy or if I have Aspergillosis. Since having it this time my breathing has worsened. I’ve already got Interstitial scarring.

Inhalers- and value for money?
In particular I am referring to the '
Ventolin
' I am prescribed as a reliever for as and when , so it's used often ,depending on circumstances. In the winter time especially it barely lasts a fortnight I'd like to know what others think about this
