Despairing as keep being told ' it's not typical asthma' so won't officially diagnose
I take seretide 250mg bd,
ventolin
, atrovent via spacers or inhalers. And pantoprazole. Specialist ruled out copd. She, and GP, say my asthma isn't controlled at all....which why suspecting other factors at play, or if ' just' asthma.

Fostair not working
Hi, I am taking fostair and
ventolin
. It's just not working anymore - I can't breathe properly and am finding work difficult. When I see my nurse, she says it's the time of year etcetc. What options can I suggest to her so she doesn't just brush me off again? What has worked for you?

Unstable, uncontrolled asthma and been on every possible inhaler, I'm on xolair also. ANY ONE ON THEOPHYLLINE??
I'm on Montelukast night and wanted
Ventolin
tablets as I'm taking my
Ventolin
inhaler about 8 times day and still get breathless. I then asked about
Ventolin
tablets which I was on years ago and told they don't use them now.

Blue inhalers help but no asthma etc? Please help?
I was told by my physiotherapist (and a chemist former surgeon) that
Ventolin
helps people without asthma by relaxing the chest.

Any advice appreciated:)
I'm on seretide 250 bd,
ventolin
, atrovent and nebs. My symptoms have varied over the last 6 months, but a typical attack would cause painful tightness to chest ( by heart area) difficulty breathing in with long deep exhales. My o2 levels can drop to 84 leading to attack hours later.

Recurrent croup with respiratory distress age 4 getting worse
She's on clenil,
ventolin
(sometimes helps) and dextramethasone for attacks, she had this 2 hours prior to her 'episode' last week, is anyone out there the same? It's getting worse as she gets older and I don't know where to go from here?

Back again
Peak flow is still below 300, I've been given
Ventolin
to be used x2 daily and after a bit of pushing on my part I'm to have Spirometry next Monday.... This has been going on for more than 2 months, hence my request for spirometer test. Thank you for reading this xx

Aerosol sprays
I'm on xolair injections, high dose fostair, and
ventolin
I also have my own nebuliser at home. Not getting any relief. Now thinking I'm going to have to start high dose steroids again which really pees me off. Just because of a thoughtless act by a probably still smelly teenager!

Took 2 puffs of
Ventolin
while getting changed and another just before stepping out the door. Used my buff over my mouth/nose until about half way through the first 3 minutes run.

What to do now?
I'm already on 2 puff twice a day of fostair (200/6), 10mg montelukast per day and
ventolin
when I need it. Short of giving me steroid tablets to take every day, I'm at the most he says he can do for asthma, other than starting treatment for COPD, which he is certain I haven't got.

What can I do?
chest and said I didn't have a chest infection but she could hear wheezing and that I was having an asthma flare up/exacerbation (she suggested it could be some sort of virus or the hot/cold damp air) advised me to double up on the fostair (from 4 puffs a day to 8 puffs a day) and go heavy on the

Found it quote tough with breathing towards the end of the 1st 3 min run and took 2 puffs of

during recovery walk as breathing wasn't recovering enough for the next run, but had no such problems with the 2nd 3 min run.

Mum advice
But...After various episodes, OOH/hospital visits and ambulance for attack last year he was finally given a preventer inhaler and continue with his
ventolin
as required. Summer is trouble free but as usually September brings on the wheeze.
