Fostair not working

Hi,

I am taking fostair and ventolin. It's just not working anymore - I can't breathe properly and am finding work difficult. When I see my nurse, she says it's the time of year etcetc.

What options can I suggest to her so she doesn't just brush me off again?

What has worked for you?

It is the time of year but your nurse shouldn't just be giving you that as an answer if it's affecting your life. I would go and see your gp and don't take no for an anewer

I have noticed my asthma had began to settle down but it became more uncontrolled as the weather got cooler

thank you for replying! Did you find anything else that helped?

My gp has had me on 8 puffs of fostair a day and said as the weather is bad I can go up and down (to 4 puffs) at will my self when I feel the need

Thank you - I'd really like to find a new treatment rather than Fostair - I'll have to pin my GP down i suppose?

Yes you will it may be that you have gotten used to fostair?

I was on seretide and nutse put me on fostair and really struggled so xhe put me back on seretide now on duoresp which works really well for me also on montelukast hope this helps
