Just another thing - Kidney Stones!
Some of you may remember that my husband was suffering from anxiety and was prescribed citalopram which did not agree with him - apart from it worsening the breathing it also caused him even greater anxiety. All in all not a great success. He has been off the tablets for about three weeks and his

Mild asthma
Hi, just another question I wanted to ask as I've been wondering about it for a while; My doctor diagnosed me with having mild asthma. I need to use my ventolin usually a couple times a day and have troubles with my asthma quite a bit at night. Unfortunately I'm not 100% sure what my spirometry results

no air
Noticed over the past few days that even though im getting enough air in my lungs, I'm getting little oxygen. Ventolin helps but I need a fair bit before I feel any benefit. Peak flow isn't too low, about 70%. can anyone relate?

Spacers for inhalers
I've read several posts about the benefits of using spacers in conjunction with inhalers. The practice nurse at my local clinic gave me one for use with ventolin. Are there also spacers available for the other kinds of inhalers, i.e. Spiriva & Seretide?

Set back
Had a bit of a set back last night. I have done nothing but cough and struggle to breath for 2 years. Got diagnoses of copd stage 2 with 54% lung function a couple of months ago. Gp put me on mucodyne 3 weeks ago and within days felt so much better it was unbliveable. Every one was noticing how well

Ventolin
Hi folks. I have severe emphsema bronchitis. Does anyone else find that ventolin- salbutamol does not relive the symptoms at all? It used to work for me but for over the last couple of years it doesn't do a thing. Has anyone tried any other inhaler that works? Thanks

Rapid loss of lung function,
My name is simon and I gave up smoking in july 2011, 1 month before my 50th birthday because i was having real problems breathing and had a very painful cough. Typical bloke i just thought I will give up smoking and that should do it, just put it down to a smokers cough. I wasnt a heavy smoker anyway

Serevent and sinus problems
About 5-6 years ago I was taken off Ventolin and Becotide and put on Seretide inhaler. Generally it has worked very well and only use the inhaler now once in the morning and once at night BUT ever since changing I've had terrible sinus problems and can hardly breath through my nose at all sometimes.

Newly dealing with exercise/exertion based symptoms
I'm just reaching out for a bit of help from those who've ""been there"". I've been dealing with asthma for more than 15 years diagnosed, although looking back, if I was a kid now, I've had it all my life, but I was just the kid who coughed a lot. And I'm generally pretty good at knowing my triggers

Soo Confused Now?
I came back from Thailand some 5 years ago now, and within 2 days on being home, I developed SOB etc. Went to the GP who sent me to the hospital, and there I stayed for a week. I was checked for blood clots, infectious diseases, tropical diseases etc etc, but nothing came back with any clues as to what

Housing Associations/landlords and asthma
Hi, I'm looking for advice. I have a housing association flat in London. The HA has known since I've moved in that I'm asthmatic and once before ignored this when I had a window that needed to be replaced as it was not closing and making it impossible to heat the flat properly, hence making my asthma

Ventolin use.
Hi, I've just recently been diagnosed with asthma. My doctor put me on Flixotide and Ventolin to start with but needed to keep upping the strength as we weren't achieving the hoped for results. Recently, my doctor changed me over to Seretide and Ventolin and I've definitely seen an improvement as I was
