Fed up and need advice!

I'm new here and new to Asthma although its in the family! Since a week last Friday when I have had,y first breathless attack! Was frightening. Since then my chest has hurt and felt tight since then. I have an outer ear infection too! Went back to Drs today and have to up my flutiform to 3 puffs in morning and evening! I'm also on 6 steroids in morning and when needed my ventolin! Normally I suffer with the coughing variant wich is better! I get out of breath when I do stuff! Over the last week! Hope this is making sense! I'm off work as I can't do much as it is leaving me out of breath. Any advice would be useful! Not feeling happy which doesn't help!

Thanks for reading this everyone!

What dose of Flutiform are you on? I'm on Flutiform too! Have you got a peak flow meter? My doctor has given me virtually free reign over my dosage of Flutiform so I can up or lower my dosage (to an extent) based on my peak flow and symptoms....

Hopefully the steroids and a rest from work will help. Attacks are scary, and in my experience it can take up to a week to start feeling better...

I did too much last week! Now every time I do something I feel breathless! Peak flow has gone down to 300 andim on 6 steriods a day! Hope I get over it soon as I have a family wedding soon!

What is your predicted peak flow? 300 is right at the start of my yellow zone so I'm usually still okay with Flutiform on that... I would start thinking about steroids if my peak flow was under 220-240 depending on how I responded to Flutiform...

I normally can get just over 400. I'm taking steriods at mo!
