Tobacco smoke entering work space
Hi all, I've been an asthmatic most of my life. During the last 15 years I've been taking my preventer every day (Seretide) and very rarely used my blue Ventolin as its been under control. Where I work I've been complaining for almost 10 years about cigarette smoke being blown into my face from the

Just out of hospital
For the first time I spent 4 nights in hospital due to an asthma attack. I arrived in hospital on Tuesday evening by ambulance. I was then treated in A&E. I was then moved to an observation ward for the night. However, my chest did not settle and I continued to need nebs throughout the night. Therefore

Severe emphysema - my 6 monthly visit to Specialist
I'm pleased ... well, sort of! Had my appointment with the specialist this week and I was a bit scared about what they might see from my latest x-rays as it's been a year since the last one and I've been feeling more breathless recently. He was a replacement consultant as my previous lady had left.

Normal?
Hi everyone, this is such a great resource and as I don't know any asthmatics I thought some of you may have some advice for me. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago after my cough became worse & worse until I was coughing almost constantly. I'm currently on Flutiform, ventolin when I need it & montelucast

Back from PR Assessment
It went very well, the lovely nurse asked a lot of questions, talked about my inhalers, said it would be a good idea to take the Ventolin just before the Relvar and Incruse as the Ventolin, quick acting, will open up the lungs to get more benefit from the other two. I didn't know that. Had blood pressure

Hello Asthma friends
Spring turned into winter with fresh snow on the mountains. I am aching a lot. Apart from all the tests under the sun, like coloscopy and immunology, things are better. I am tapering down the Seretide 250mg. They are not sure I have asthma. They think it is the dyspnea from the LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis

Worried
Over the last few weeks I have had to take my steroids and antibiotics twice. When I stop taking them within two or three days I wake in the night coughing and in the mornings it's bad with yellow/green mucus . My chest is also tight. I have carbocisteine , ventolin, Eklira and Fostaire. Is it a case

Muscle pains
Does anyone else suffer with back of neck pain and around collar bone area above and below and towards shoulders? It's related to breathing as I wake up with pain, take my ventolin and symbicort and it releases until mid after take a couple of puffs of ventolin and it usually eases for an hour or so.

Seretide question
Are there any long term effects of using Seretide Evohalers? I have been on a125/50 for years. My asthma is well controlled - I rarely use Ventolin. However my weight is a worry and I suffer from idigestion and acid reflux. Would stoping Seretide help?

Review and Spirometry Test - Result.
Well I gave it my best pppppppppppppppppuuuuuufffffffffffffff - gasp! But it wasn't good enough for my Respiratory Matron who was expecting an improvement over last months effort. I didn't bother looking at the printout. I have already established that old age will finish me long before COPD gets a chance

Review and Spirometry Test.
Tomorrow I have a review and spirometry test following the change in my inhalers from Seretide 125, Ipratropium and Ventolin to just Ipratropium and Symbicort. I just hope that I’m not asked what effect the change has had on me, because with my failing memory I can’t remember how I felt before, to be

Advice greatly appreciated.
Nothing works anymore. My symbicort, and Spiriva. 2. Ventolin don't work anymore. I use oxygen, I see my oxygen nurse every six months, that is the only input into my Emphysema. I send for a repeat prescription monthly. I was diagnosed type2 diabetes 18 months ago, was given Metformin and that was it

Totally getting fed up now
Went to the Drs yesterday because having to use more ventolin so he put me on a added inhaler, woke up this morning with an elephant sitting on my chest an coughing up green gunk (sorry) so looks like another trip there ☹️ If my surgery was on gp behind closed doors I'd be the star of the show I'm there
