Went to the Drs yesterday because having to use more ventolin so he put me on a added inhaler, woke up this morning with an elephant sitting on my chest an coughing up green gunk (sorry) so looks like another trip there ☹️ If my surgery was on gp behind closed doors I'd be the star of the show I'm there that often

Hope you feel better soon. I don't even have to speak at reception and I'm booked in and they bring a glass of water over. Even on the phone they know it's me and can fit me in at little notice. The only issue at my doctors is one of the gps she doesn't listen but has just admitted she doesn't know how to handle my care as I'm complex and that everything needs to go through hospital.

Take care and rest x

Oh Michowls you have taken me down memory lane. I too was complex and 'chronic' then I had a massive food allergy reaction and the food allergy was detected and things drastically changed..only because i drastically changed too. I would be so much more pushy. Its sadly the only way to be if you want to get the right care.

I'm slowly realizing I need to push for thing. If battling asthma isn't enough we have to battle the system.

I too have a number of food allergies and every year I seem to develop new ones

I am still not over the stress the system put me through. I ended up at a research hospital in London for allergies (after a long nagging wait). I ended up wasting 2 years waiting for treatment they ran test after test on me each year while my allergies spiralled out of control.

I realised that due to it being a research hospital I was actually a research test subject. I got nothing out it meaningful apart from being told I'm a very allergic person!
