Dr refuses me Ventolin
My GP refuses to give me Ventolin and Seretide due (as he puts is) to the CCG rules. I am allowed to take Salamol and Sirdupla as these are recommended by the CCG. However, Salamol is horrible, leaves a nasty taste, makes my throat sore and dry. GP still refuses me Ventolin. I now have to see the Asthma

Beta Agonist Reliever that does not cause reflux
Hi has anybody had indigestion or reflux issues with their reliever and successfully swapped it for one that does not? I have used Seretide (combination), Ventolin and Serevent and they all no give me reflux. They never used to but they do for sure now.

2nd Xolair Injections
Well I'm now on month 2 of the Xolair injections and I have to say, so far so blooming good! No Ventolin used now for almost a month, and on 2 x 2 puffs of Foster daily, as well as Montekulast. I've been off oral steroids now for a month and the Citalapran really seems to have kicked in too, so I don't

Illness
Hi everyone, just getting over I think a bronchitis type of illness. I have had it 2.5 weeks and had a slight temperature most of that time. Had to use my steroid asthma pump and ventolin to be able to cough. This is new for me, I usually take a week to get over colds and coughs. Is it to do with

As children break up from school it's time for me to take a break from the site. Summer is my time to be at my healthiest and usually when I don't touch my ventolin what so ever. Although the hay fever season has me needed prescribed antihistamine. I did have a wake up call this week when walking pass

Symbicort confusion
Have had asthma since I was a few months old and in the early years there were no inhalers at all. Have recrntl6 been put on Symbicort (Smart) after I was told Seritide was being discontinued and that it would replace my ventolin reliever. As I have exercise induced asthma as well as allergy asthma

Can’t take much more :-(
Hi... I don’t normally post on here, just a lurker reading other posts generally. But I just have so much running through my mind at the min along with feeling physically broken I thought posting might help. For the last 7 months my asthma has been hard to control, I couldn’t tell you how many exacerbations

I'm new here
I had asthma as a child, seemed to grow out of it as a teenager but in my thirties it started up again. I take Seretide everyday as a preventer and rarely use my blue reliever. The worst problem is spray air fresheners and perfumes, while they smell nice they start me wheezing and reaching for my Ventolin

Never know what's going on with my asthma...
Ok. I'm new here so I'll give some background. I was diagnosed with asthma about 2. Apparently I was quite bad as a child. It runs in my family. Didn't need any inhalers from 13 until 18. My asthma got bad again when I went to uni, but I also had bad anxiety so I could never tell which I was struggling

Why does my rib feel sore?
This title was suggested to me, hope it helps Tinnitus, very minor sufferer but noteably after witnessing a murder. My dad has suffered, and still does. Has anyone looked into the link with Ventolin, genuine question. thanks in advance Dan

Does rain trigger asthma?
Hi everyone, I’m new here and trying to work out what triggers my asthma. I’ve had it all my life but in the last 7 months it’s got worse, 7 asthma attacks, 4 times with the paramedics coming out and 3 times to hospital. The drs are still trying to work out which meds work. My question is, is it possible

Intal/Tilade - Medication for exercise induced asthma
I have been doing some research whilst trying to rest up after the weekend, and it seems there are some medications around which target exercise induced asthma. Generally my asthma is reasonably well controlled, but exercise remains an issue for me. For example this weekend, I used ventolin before I
