Vancomycin for C-diff..
I've taken
vancomycin
for c-diff for 15 days and dock say more tapering down. Don't think he realizes the CLL factor, though I told him... I'm so afraid of bowel bleed... scared to take another 14 days... anyone dealt with C-Diff? 80-year old lady... another factor

What would you do?
I was given infusions of
Vancomycin
, Zocyn and Rocephin. On the last day, I was given Dalvance so that I would not have to have a PIC line. The half-life of Dalvance is 14.4 days.

I want my father to have my kidney, but he doesn’t want to accept it, please help!
The center is giving him the
vancomycin
every time he has dialysis. Sorry for the long explanation but we’re not showing any worries (dad, mom and I) and we are really nervous about it.

My Experience of Heart Valve Replacement
Then a wonderful consultant came along and said 'Give this man IV
Vancomycin
immediately', whereupon I started to recover rapidly. What I realised at that point was that the pressure in my gum beneath a particular tooth had changed, i.e., the sepsis was caused by a dental infection.

Enterococcus vancomycin resistant
He has been admitted for an Enterococcus
Vancomycin
resistant infection. They are treating him with IV antibiotics. The last ct showed no cancer in his lymph nodes and tumor shrinkage in the bones. The oncologist said his cancer treatments are working so that’s good news.

Surgery after MRSA Menegitis
Surgeon is great and staff they will run
vancomycin
before during and after her shunt surgery this time. I am just not sure I should have it done again at this hospital. Will this happen again? What are the chances?

Can Prednisone affect Thyroid tests?
Now I'm trying to taper off
Vancomycin
and prednisone. I am so depressed and hopeless. Can't think straight, brain fog is awful. I want to go have the complete thyroid testing but don't know if prednisone will make the tests show normal results when they are not.

They hooked me up to an IV and pumped me full of
Vancomycin
and Cipro for 10 days. My leg was blistering and draining so much that serous fluid was leaking through the skin and I had to have my dressings changed every hour because they were saturated.

Acute Bacterial Meningitis
They are currently giving him doses of Ceftriaxone and
Vancomycin
(Antibiotics) they are also giving him steroids called Dexamethasone to decrease the inflamAtion around the brain. I am very worried as it has been almost 5 days and there is no change in his mental state.

Microneedle painlessly monitors drug levels without the need to draw blood
[/i] http://www.gizmag.com/microneedle-drug-monitoring/44524 Interestingly, I was given
vancomycin
IV for my lymphangitis earlier this year and I certainly wasn't monitored for drug toxicity.

Post infection ibs after c.diff
Flagyl failed ,
vancomycin
failed after 2 weeks. Looks like a tapering dose of
vancomycin
for over two months finally worked . My problem now is I got post infection ibs. Seen gastro Drs but don't look like they can help either .

Acute Bacterial Meningitis - post Pontine Cavernoma back out surgery
It’s been almost a week. Initially my father (age-56) was admitted due to some abnormality in cavernoma. Went through a surgery as suggested by the Doc. Due to the criticality of the position of this Pontine Cavernoma, they opted for a back out. Post surgery the patient was in somewhat stable state.
