Hello having a bad week, T is so loud. But i am feeling very sad and lonely with it. I know this community is fabulous, so please forgive my moan. I have a lovely husband who also has T but has, to some degree, come to terms with it, and i am fed up moaning to him. I am 53 and have worn hearing

Return after ovary removal?
10 years ago I had my ovaries removed after suffering from endo for several years. My quality of life improved immensely and I’ve been pretty much pain free since. I am on Kliovance HRT (1mg) and had the mirena coil fitted which is now 5 yrs old. I effectively had a medical menopause. When I had surgery

Zoladex NO HRT
I’m getting t my first Zoladex injection today. The doctor said I can’t take HRT with it because the whole point of Zoladex is that I have no hormones causing endo. I read here that many of you got HRT with Zoladex and I’m confused... I also wonder if Zoladex will be as hard on my mental health as hormonal

Slightly low TSH - have no idea if this means anything?
I am a total novice when it comes to thyroid tests! In January my HRT (50yo female) did not seem to be helping with my fatigue and joint pain so I had a range of blood tests. My B12 and Vit D were low so I have commenced the protocols for those. My serum TSH was 0.40 (0.30 - 4.20) which I see is in

knee surgery
I’ve been put in the waiting list to have a total knee replacement and the waiting list is approx 6 months. I’m on 17.5 mgs of pred. The surgeon has said my healing might be slow because of the pred. Had anyone else had a knee replacement while on a higher dose of pred? I’m a little worried about having

My Story for private endocrinologist - what Qs to ask? 🤔
This is everything I have sent to the private endocrinologist about the last two years, with supporting evidence…. Dear Private Endocrinologist, I believe I have symptoms of hypothyroid or central hypothyroid or an issue with HPT axis however my blood tests are within the NHS ranges. In the two

private blood tests and antibodies?
hi, I am going to purchase some blood tests, I would like thyroid, female hormones (started HRT and want to know where they are now) and vitamin levels. Do I need to test thyroid antibodies if my diagnosis is central hypothyroidism? Or is this irrelevant as the thyroid is not attacking itself? thanks

Help with hypothyroidism & oestrogen

I was first given oestrogel for my peri menopausal symptoms and felt very unwell on it along with the headaches and crippling anxiety and vertigo I feel as if I'm over medicated on my levothyroxine
