T3 starting dose too high?
Hi all, looking for some advice. Have had hashi's for 3 years and my GP has had me undermedicated for all of that time (25mg Levo rising to 50mg after about 1. years and only 7 weeks ago he allowed me to increase to 75mg at weekends and 50mg during the week). My results in February were: FT4: 14.6

Hi I was formally diagnosed with Graves’ disease in May 23 . In reality I’d probably had it a while as I’d been in denial about thyroid eye symptoms for a few months but it was the increasing intolerance to hot weather that drove me to the GP. At diagnosis my T4 was around 60, T3 around 25 and I was

response regarding my endocrinologist complaint
Hi, I am sharing the letter I received from the hospital ( it’s taken them well over 6 months). I was so ‘cheesed off’ with the reply that it’s taken me 3 days to read it again and then I spilt coffee on it 🥴. I don’t know why I thought I’d get anything better, but the response is actually farcicle

Got GP appointment but what to say to get him to test anything more than TSH
Hi 3 months ago I wrote a post about my daughters results since 2018 & her vitamin levels which are dire. It has taken her this long to manage to get a telephone appointment with a GP next Wednesday. My question is what does she say to convince them to test more than just her TSH. I went through

Test Result
Hi all, Following my previous post regarding my struggle to be diagnosed and treated as hypothyroid, I have paid for testing as my GP has been advised by endocrinologist to wait until June before retesting me. My results are posted over 3 posts. My T4 has actually improved. Any advice will be appreciated

Strides Pharma T3
I have just received my regular script of T3 and my pharmacist is aware of me being brand sensitive. I usually have Morningside but have been given Strides Pharma (a brand I haven't heard of). Can anyone tell me whether this brand contains Mannitol/Acacia as those ingredients made me very ill with

T3 question
I’m currently on T3 only because of bad reaction with levothyroxine. I’ve been on Liothyronine 10mcg twice a day since 11 November. I haven’t been back to the doctors for a thyroid function test since October as I’ve read frequently that on T3 only they go more on symptoms than levels. I no longer have

Suppressed tsh 0.03 on Liothyronine, is this as much of a worry as consultant says please?
Bit of a long story sorry but I just need a moan with others who undestand. I restarted Liothyronine Jan 23 on nhs but my consultant will not endorse any increase whatsoever. I am just so tired most days it hurts, can't shift my weight unless I starve and unfortunately I don't sleep well so that doesn't

Why is my TSH so low when my T4 T3 are so low?
Hi all can some please explain why my TSH is low despite my T4 T3 being low. Correct me if i have got it wrong but i have come to understand that TSH is released by the pituitary gland to stimulate release of more thyroid hormones if levlels are too low. Since 1993 i dont have a thyroid so i am on

Bench mark blood tests before switching to NDT
I would welcome any comments or advice on these results and on the process of switching from levothyroxine to NDT. Thank you! Hypothyroidism I have been taking levothyroxin 100 mg for over 30 years since my early 40s. (This is my only medication. Otherwise I keep healthy with yoga, regular exercise

Gluten or dairy free?
Hi everyone. I have posted previously about raised antibodies (Anti-TG 347 range <115, and Anti-TPO 53.6 range <34) Now having got my head around this, I can considering a gluten free diet to try to reduce the inflammation. My thyroid appears to be working normally - most recent results with a 9am

Has anyone had a Jak2 Blood Test for blood disorders?
Hi I've had high Platelets for years about 20 at least on every blood test. GP always just said your Platelets are high but we know that! rheumy often mentioned it too. Recently I have been seen in Endocrinology (in a different hospital to my rheumatology team) & been having regular blood tests since

T3 only and feeling a bit desperate
I have been taking T3 only for a handful of years now and for a couple of them on a LCHF diet I was happy enough. I lost weight, and felt good. In October 2020 I restarted HRT (I still had/have) hot flushes, but within 2 months I had started to gain weight and on balance I thought that I would rather

Hi, I’m a 19 year old female who has suffered from IBS my whole life, literally since I was a baby. I have EDS, PoTS, Endometriosis, GERD and Gastritis. I had H.pylori from the end of 2017 to April 2019, undiagnosed and untreated for over a year because my gp said that I was ‘attention seeking because
