Finally Feeling Some Relief from Heavy Head
To give others hope: I am now at about four weeks on 88 mcgs of Tirosint, having worked up from a starting dose of 13 mcgs beginning in April of this year. Recently I saw a holistic medical doctor (internist) who prescribed 5 mcgs of T3 for me to take twice a day (10 mcgs total a day) and also added

The many names of levothyroxine
This is an attempt to educate HU's artificial intelligence as to the many, many names of levothyroxine and T4 - around the world. I am quite certain there are many more especially outside Europe and in non-Latin scripts. Please just ignore it - if you are a human! :-) Accu-Thyrox Aку-Тирокс Berlthyrox

With the help of my naturopath I have mostly controlled my symptoms with amino acids (mucuna, l-
tyrosine
, n-acetyl cysteine) and other natural supplements. It has not stopped the progression but I would rather not take the pharmaceuticals.

Medicate? Still unsure...
Decided to take iodine with
tyrosine
, selenium and zinc. Just retested and all the same but tsh lower. Reverse t3 is 11.5 and range is 9-27ng/dl. I didn't have antibodies tested again since both were in range around 30 and I've been gf diet for 3 years.

If I Don't Have a Conversion Problem, Could NDT or Adding T3 Still Work for Me?
All, So far I do not think I have a conversion problem as my FT3 is rising while my TSH is going down while taking 75 mcgs Tirosint daily. However I still have hypo symptoms (I also have Hashi's). With that said, can someone comment as to if one does NOT have a conversion issue, would NDT or adding

Anxiety - is it the Cart Before the Hashimoto's Horse, or the Other Way Around?
For the past 4 years I've had several stressful events happen to me plus health issues (H Pylori, Hashimoto's, iron deficient anemia to name the biggest issues). As the months have ground on it seems to me that I now wake up feeling just filled with dread as to what my day will hold. I cannot seem

Has anyone else had
tyrosine
reduced when they get older? I'm 63 and have been reduced from 125mg to 75mg. I don't feel I function well at all on this lower dose.

Does it Take Time for the Body to Catch Up To Good Results?
To All, I had been on 75 mcg of Tirosint for 4 weeks at the time these labs were taken: TSH 1.3 (range 0.45 - 4.5) Free T4 1.48 (range 0.82-1.77) Free T3 3.1 (range 2.0 - 4.4) I was astounded at the good results because I still feel the head fogginess and heavy head. Is it time to start looking elsewhere

Tirosint In The UK?
Hi! Does anyone have Tirosint precribed by their UK GP? I was told by my local pharmacist that it isn't available in the UK on the NHS (considering I live in the far northern back woods not sure if this is true in more civilized areas). I am researching the most hypoallergenic meds available either on

Nail and Hair Changes on Ibrutinib
More recently nail and hair changes have been described also in patients treated with targeted therapies, such as inhibitors of multiple
tyrosine
kinase receptors, BRAF inhibitors and epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) inhibitors.
