I had blood tests recently and my TSH was 5.78 and T4 was normal at 13. I really don't like taking Levothyroxine. Is there any case that I can stop taking Levothyroxine? Am I subclinical? Many thanks Mika

My thyroid function results since October 23 are: serum TSH (mU/L) serum free T4 (pmol/L) Oct 23 1.28 / 8.8 Nov 23 2.53 /

She said tsh is bit low, so let's half t4 dose one day a week, and continue on t3 5 mcg 2x a day. I'm so surprised she did not say reduce the t3. I am currently on 100 Levo and 10mg lio What do you think bout the reducing Levo to 50 one day of the week? I'm thinking of not doing this.

I know TSH <2.5 is preference for conception. Just wondering overall, for example if hypothyroid, how would you expect your menstrual cycle to be impacted / change versus hyperthyroid state compared to your menstrual cycle in a euthyroid state, all other things being equal.

I have come across this group, after having bloods back this morning… waiting for my GP call next week, but a GP friend has let me know the results (low TSH, high T3) is hyperthyroidism. GP reviewed and put a non urgent telephone call in for next week. My anxiety is through the roof!

Am I right in thinking that as my level is low taking more levothyroxine will just push it even lower, and it will increase my T4 levels. As I don't have a thyroid would the levels actually matter in my circumstance?

(TSH, T4 and T3 were "normal") Before that in 2016 when I stopped taking the pill, the first time, I had subclinical Hypothyroidism. Until in September 2022 the bomb broke TSH 91.5 (0.400-6) T4 0.3 (0.700-1.8).

My TSH has come right down to 1.01 (from 4.72) but my T4 has also reduced from 13.9 to 12, whilst my T3 has increased marginally from 3.7 to 4. My ferritin is still rock bottom at 18.9. My CRP HS has gone up from 1.23 to 2.83.

The TSH levels freaked me out and I immediately took seaweed supplements and 1-2 Brazil nuts a day. I then did a private blood test on the 20th March. 20h March -privae blood test TSH -14.01 mIU/L - ABNORMAL FT4 - 11.8. pmol/L - In Range TPOAb - 365. kIU/L - out of range T4 82.
