Increase levothyroxine or add liothyronine
Results on 75 levothyroxine
TSH
0.84(0.4-3.7) Ft3 3.6 (3.5-6.5)Ft4 14 (12-22) Would you increase levo to 87,5 or add 5 mcg liothyronine? Which would make most difference to
TSH
do you think 5 mcg T3 or 12.5 T4?

subclinical hyperthyroid after hemithyroidectomy
My results have come back as abnormal and are below:
TSH
0.10miu/l (0.35-4.94 normal range) Serum free T4 11.3pmo/l (9-19 normal range) Serum free triiodothyronine 4.7pmo/l (2.9-4.9 normal range) I’m assuming the latter is T3? I can’t get a call back from my GP until the end of the week.

TSH over 4.5 for 10 years, nothing else but symptoms got worse
I’ve had a kind of high
tsh
since I was 19. I’ve tested it along with T4, the 2 antibodies, not sure if also T3, and they all were fine except my
Tsh
(4.5).

anybody had these tests before?
COELIAC SCREEN, SPE,
TSH
, EGFR, PTH, Vit D and Serum Light Chains. I know the Serum LC is taken when testing for Multiple Myeloma as my best friends husband has bone marrow cancer.

Hypo symptoms but doctors unsympathetic
Asked doctor to check thyroid levels and he did reluctantly but only
TSH
level which came out in 'normal' range (2.3)... Doctors all treat me like I'm an idiot/hyperchondriac and can't face hassling them further.

First test results after adding T3 - I’m confused!
Here’s my results (Monitor my Health) whilst on 62.5mcg levo & 9mcg of Tiromel:
TSH
0.99 (0.27-4.2) FT4 13.3 (12-22) FT3 3.5 (3.1-6.8) Both tests conducted as per the suggested protocols on this site.

I know exactly how the review will go - your
TSH
is too low (it has been around 0.02 for 6 years), and your cholesterol is nearly out of range. Here, have some statins and we will drop your Levo dose. Sigh. This is a GP new to the practice and she has obviously not read my file.

TSH
seems to have dropped fast, is this usual ? I’ve been unwell with a virus, would that affect it? I can’t say the rapid change in
TSH
is reflected in feeling any better.

Pregnancy & liothyronine
I felt "ok" before i started the liothyronine, just still not myself even though my levels of
TSH
and T4 were good. I found out I was pregnant a week ago and have taken 2 x 75mcg thyroxine extra this week just to be safe in the mean time.

Need info for doctor's appointment
I need the new post I saw yesterday that lists references to articles which recommend how GPs should manage symptoms which we report, for example pointing out that most of us feel better with a
TSH
level much lower than is generally accepted as OK.

GP ignorance
Has been diagnosed with thyroid issues at 13y.o when high APTO and lots of macro follicles (nodules) in thyroid at ultrasound were found ( my fT4,T4,
TSH
were in a normal range that time though).

Advice for blood-test redo after loading doses
Therefore my plan was, when booking in the bloods (I have to wait until next month for the booking system), I would request certain things to be tested.. so far I've had a
TSH
test for thyroid function and another I can't recall for diabetic indication - both were fine.

I’m Quite Annoyed Over My Latest Blood Tests.
The September results were:
TSH
- 0.03 [0.35-4.94] FT4 - 20.1 [9.0-19.0] FT3 - 4.89 [2.6-5.7] Decembers results, taken early this week:
TSH
-0.03 T4 - 18.5 They seem more concerned about testing liver etc according to the rest of the results in the list, they seemed concerned about my liver last
