Questions for Endocrinologist
Today is the day, I am finally seeing an endocrinologist. Any suggestions of things to ask? Trying to be optimistic about the appointment but quietly cautious. Below are the questions I have so far: - FT3 measurement to ensure adequate conversion - Pregnancy monitoring and appropriate FT4 and TSH levels

My usual supplier of T3 is out of stock. Could anyone DM me with their trusted supplier?
I am in the UK. The t3 is for my mum. She has been on it for three years, it was prescribed privately so the NHS won't cover it, but it's too expensive to buy from normal private pharmacists. Thank you.

Total vs Free T4 and T3 tests
A regular question is whether we should test Free T4 and/or T3, or Total T4 and/or T3. I was reading the current prescribing information for Armour Thyroid (in the USA) and noticed this issue is actually addressed: [i]Changes in TBg concentration should be taken into consideration in the interpretation

is a higher T4 now considered unsafe
hi all, I have always benefitted from a higher up the range T4. However, I have been reading recently that this is now considered dangerous and I should aim for 50% through the range. Just wondered what you all thought about this, and what range do you consider safer? Thank you

Advice - likelihood of rapidly being over medicated
Morning everyone, I'm back for your thoughts! By way updates for those who've kindly helped in the last few weeks..... Thyroid goitre confirmed on ultrasound- described as 'large' although I've no way of quantifying that description and it's pressing on my oesophagus causing some swallowing restriction

Hair loss, and other symptoms
Hi there, I’m a 48 year old female, with some concerning symptoms. Extreme hair loss, tiredness, depression to name a few. Blood tests came back with 2.14 TSH, 13.1 plasma free T4 level. Is this enough to cause these symptoms?

Adrenal Transformation Protocol by Dr Isabella Wentz
I’m reading Adrenal Transformation Protocol by Dr Isabella Wentz and wondering if it’s worth giving it a go. I have done two adrenal saliva tests in Feb 2023 and 2024 and both were low, showing adrenal fatigue stage II. I’ve been on NDT Armour for a year and my FT3 has increased to mid-upper range

Positive pregnancy test Day 10 after FET but continued spotting
I had my first FET, thankfully the home pregnancy is positive today, day 11 after frozen FET but after 4 natural miscarriages i am super stressed about another miscarriage. For the last 2 days i’ve had spotting and cramps, first pink, today brown. My clinic says it’s impossible to know at this stage

Anyone using Utrogestan to keep thyroid levels steady?
I’m on T3 only and have been very successful with it for quite a few years. A couple of years back owing to becoming a laydee of a certain age, I was prescribed desogestrel (a progesterone only pill) to keep my hormones levels stable. I had found they were dipping regularly and my dose hadn’t changed

Difficulty obtaining Advanz/Mercury Pharma T3
Once again I am having difficulty obtaining the above T3. This time I'm being told that they are no longer manufacturing the product. I telephoned Advanz and they tell me otherwise - that the problem lays with the supplier - Alliance. This is the third time I have had to changed pharmacies

Radioiodine treatment
I posted on update on thyroid depression but did not know if it is seen there. I have been getting side effects from taking carbimazole tablets so my GP wrote to the endo dept ,they have wrote back saying because I am getting side effects from the carbimazole the next step will be to consider permament

I keep changing dose, feeling better, then having a flare-up of mysterious symptoms, then feeling worse again.
I (31F) was diagnosed with Hashimoto's exactly one year ago. Before then, I spent 2 years trying to convince public healthcare that I was having hypothyroid symptoms, but my TSH kept coming back at 2.5 so they dismissed me. In August 2023 I saw a private endo and she put me on levo as my TSH came back

A bit of an update...
It has been a while since I posted in this group about my having hematuria in my urine. I have had many tests done and no doctor has told me what is causing it. The last specialist who did a cystoscopy and 2 cat scans has alluded to my kidneys not filtering properly. I do have protein in my urine also

TWW Started 5/5/24
Hello, is anyone else starting the TWW? I did a pregnancy test with clear blue before the transfer and it came up positive due to Ovitrelle, very faint line. Certainly going to stop me testing too early lol. I took Ovitrelle on 29th July, I'm hoping it will be out of my system soon, it says 10 days 🤞

T3/T4/TSH testing after starting T3
I've added T3 about 3 months ago and this is my first test so I want to get it right.I reduced levothyroxine and added 20mcg T3 and am now on (usually) 30mcg with 125mcg. I see levo should be stopped 24hrs pre test and T3 12-25hrs pre test unless peak T3 are required which they arent at the moment. Test

Out of range low T4 but normal TSH and T3
Hi all I was on Levothyroxine for sub clinical hypothyroidism during pregnancy. My son is now 4 months and I have been undergoing multiple blood tests to establish what the course of action should now be. My TSH and T3 are within range but my T4 is very low. I will attach results and my ranges to this

Wanting to trial T3
To cut a long story short I have been on Levothyroxine for over 20 years. Recently diagnosed with chronic fatigue. As a result of this I have consulted a Functional Medicine practioner & found out that I have Hashimotos (no surprise) & my T3 level is very low despite high T4. I'm looking at seeing
