However, when I woke I spoke (well wrote as I had a

Bisopropol Fumarate and Ventolin Evohaler (salbutamol) possible warning
At some point on the Monday I went into bronchial spasyms - as a result I was put in an induced coma for 9 days and was bought out of this with a
tracheostomy
. I ended up spending nearly 4 weeks in hospital and have been home 2 weeks now.

Small Progress
(He doesn't get any point based on verbal assessment as he has a
tracheostomy
fitted so I believe they put a T down for that) Small progress in my eyes and he has also been moving away when we tickle him as he hates being tickled and he's been blinking and opening his eyes more often. Xx

New but not so new!
He still had a wound from his
tracheostomy
(done to wean him off the large ventilator) and it took nearly 2 hours to get him up, showered and dressed. It helped so much to know that the problems he had were common and I think my "caring" education was conducted via this site!

Coma
My brother in law and my sister were assaulted on the 18th June. The attack resulted in my brother in law suffering from a TBI and is now in a coma (not an induced coma) he has a GCS score of 4 and we've been told it's likely he may never wake up. I understand the TBI has caused him to have mutilple

How long did it take you to come off ventilator? Copd
She has
tracheostomy
and today they have shrunk the ballon inside the tube that stops the air escaping around the tube hence it's more difficult for her to breath. She had it for almost 2 hours in the morning and is going to have it for 2 hours this afternoon again.

SUBGLOTTIC STENOSIS - this rare condition has been included on this site due to it's implication in gastric reflux syndrome*****.
Usually, injury is caused by endotracheal intubation or high
tracheostomy
tube placement. If irritation persists, the original edema and inflammation progress to ulceration and granulation tissue formation.

Questions that were never answered..
I'm 2013 I married the love of my life the person who I was in a relationship with for 6 years. 5 days after my wedding I woke up with excruciating chest pains and couldn't explain why. I remember going in to the emergency room crying and minutes later I was gone. I woke up feeling like I took a nap

Partner on day 28 in ICU...Legionella and ARDS
We currently are on day 28...he is still heavily sedated on propofol and fentynal (and for a while, Ketamine), received a
tracheostomy
March 25th and developed an infection March 26th which sent his vitals plummeting.
