Doctor
I am wondering if anyone has come across a Dr Zachariah in Horsham? I am looking for thyroid and adrenal glands. Please PM me as I would be interested to hear experiences. Thank you! PS As a side note, I was prescribed the 20mcg T3 after asking not to have the 10mcg capsules - thank you to everyone

Advice please
I thought I was going mad at first, my RLS is horrendous and affecting me at work. Poor and very little sleep, getting confused and making mistakes, forgetting information. The RLS was starting early on a morning and nothing I could do to relieve it. I was taking too many cocodomoI out of desperation

How much T3 do you keep as backup?
I have to order a repeat T3 prescription in the next couple of day from a private GP at a lab and as I will be going away from home for approx 3 months I will have to request a large amount. It made me think that I should probably keep a reasonably large bank of T3 since running out could be very nasty

What is the recommended medication to start on please?
I'm having a telephone consultation with my endocrinologist tonight & after a lot of reading (on this site as well) I'm considering asking for NDT? This will be my first time being medicated so would really appreciate any advice from you? You all have far more experience than I & have been invaluable

Vitamin B6 in B Complexes
Seeking advice on Vitamin B6 in B Complexes. Background: Diagnosed hypothyroid since the late 1990's; switched to T3 liothyronine only since about 2014 because levothyroxine didn't help me . Diagnosed with Parkinson's (finally!) in early 2023. Currently under the care of a movement disorders specialist

Starting on Armour
Starting on Armour for first time tomorrow, I have been told to take 1/2 grain at 8am and 1/4 grain at 3pm. According to the Thyroid Pharmacists conversion table that is equivalent to 75 levo, I am currently only on 50 levo which I have been told to stop while I trial the Armour. I tried 75 levo 3

T4 not being increased by GP
Hi everyone hope you are all doing g good and still fighting for your health! Following on from my previous post. A new GP in my practise wouldn’t increase my levo to 100mcg until she had the go ahead from endocrinology. They have decided that I am adequately medicated and won’t increase due to heart

Conversion
Hi I'm trying to make sense of something I'm reading. Does something know how to convert between nanogrammes and picomoles of T4? Best wishes H

Multiple Iron Infusions.
I had an iron infusion two years ago for RLS. Before the infusion my ferritin was down to about 100 and it rose to about 350 Unfortunately my RLS didn't respond to this and I couldn't detect any improvement over the next 12 months. My ferritin decreased over 2 years to 200 and then gradually

Should I reduce dose slightly? T3/T4 combination therapy
Hello lovely people. I recently had my bloods done and met with my endocrinologist, and wanted to ask your thoughts. I am currently on 87.5mcg Levothyroxine and 25mcg T3 daily. I feel better than I have in a long time, though possibly slightly anxious (difficult to tell though as I am prone to anxiety

Undiagnosed for too long
In a nutshell: Undiagnosed and not on medication Ultrasound scan showing autoimmune thyroiditis (not acknowledged or lost in system by GP practice) Latest blood tests: T4 is 9% through range Horrible symptoms Familial history TSH does not rise as T4 falls (TSH always within range) I have been waiting

Latest endo appointment. Will not increase T3 as TSH now low!!!!!
About 6 weeks ago, because of a change in make of liothyronine I made a mistake and instead of taking 2 x 10mcg tablets, I took 2 x 20mcg.When I realised, I anticipated the worst. However, I was fine, in fact more than fine. My prescribed dose was 30mcg daily. But, I started to take 20mcg twice daily

question about vitamin levels
I’m Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering When our vitamin levels are at a good level , does that in turn make our thyroid levels mainly our TSH T3 T4 levels to rise when TSH is under range. It just got me thinking as I’m been prescribed folate for 3 months by the doctors & will

I think T3 should be available in the cleaning products aisle!
Small increase and I turn into a cleaning demon! All the jobs that get put off like window cleaning get tackled which leads to other things getting it too 🪟🪣🧹 😁
