Advice please for next Roseway appt
What size T4 capsules should I ask for next? I currently take 125mcg split as 2 x 50 and 1 x 25. I'm taking Roseway's compounded T4 capsules so they can't easily be split. I had to test this week as I need my appointment next week in order not to run out, but I only completed my transition from NDT

are hot flushes associated with hypothyroidism?
I’m in the process of being investigated for hypothyroidism, after a couple of private blood tests, most recent showing TSH of 5.06 mIU/l, free T3 of 3.9 pmol/l, free T4 14.3 pmol/l, TPO Ab 41.7 kIU/l My GP has been very supportive and has me booked for these tests to be repeated on the NHS to confirm

My Endocrinology appointment review no help! and my 1300 tpo just a small blip quote from endocrinologist (see my previous post)
My endo didn’t say anything to help I don’t have hypothyroidism and told her how unwell I am basically she doesn’t know what’s refused to help me and said she will repeat test in a few weeks . She didn’t care about the results of private bloods they mean notching and tpo doesn’t mean autoimmune thyroiditis

Hypothyroidism help
I had a thyroidectomy in 1984, to remove benign growths. The surgeon said about 25% thyroid remained, but he thought I would not need subsequent medication. I was not told to have regular thyroid function tests, and carried on with my busy life. After unrelated throat surgery in 1997, my consultant asked

midwife prescribed aspirin due to history of Graves’ disease while pregnant.
I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and the midwife prescribed me aspirin and said it was for the baby as blood will flow to the placenta better. Nothing abnormal was seen or found in my scans prior and my blood pressure and levels are good. I didn’t get a good explanation and it’s worrying me and she

Thyroid hormone homeostasis in levothyroxine-treated patients: Findings from ELSA-Brasil
From paper Antonio C Bianco has posted on Twitter about this new paper (of which he is a listed author). The first quote below has the image above attached. First NHS Endo Apt - a battle story
I finally have an NHS endo apt (which they cancelled but I begged to get reinstated) and wanted to be armed with questions - can you help? ... Short story is I've been battling joint/limb pain/numbness for 5 years and been through many departments and had MRI/PET SCANs - all clear. MS/Rheumatism/Lupus

A message for Admin
Hello Admin. I posted recently and received a message from a scammer on here. You closed the chat thread so I can no longer see it. I was seeking advice on NDT availability. In short, I was contacted by a “member” who directed me to a SCAM website called [site name edited by admin]. I lost over £150

Thyroid function tests
Hi all, The GP has printed off a form for me to take to the hospital tomorrow to check my TSH levels. I’ve noticed on the form it says, ‘thyroid function tests’. Does this include T3 and T4? I know last time I only had a result for TSH. If so, do I need to fast? My test isn’t until 4pm.

New Hyperthyroidism diagnosis
Hi all, I am new here and have found reading through all the information I’ve found here invaluable. I have recently been diagnosed as having hyperthyroidism- my story is in my bio. I have my first endocrinologist appointment this week and I’m not sure what to expect. My GP wouldn’t prescribe Carbimazole

If you visited a different time zone (-2hrs) for a week, would you adjust your dosage TIMING to match new time zone, or home time zone?
Would appreciate any advice on timing of taking thyroid meds, if travelling to a different time zone. I will be away for a week where the time zone is 2hrs difference. I normally take my NDT at 6am each day. Will the timing of taking the thyroid meds matter much for this short trip? I just don't know
