Testosterone replacement therapy while having Paroxysmal AFib.
I’m really thinking about starting
testosterone
replacement therapy injections, due to low levels and having lots of low level symptoms. I’m trying to see if any members here have been on
testosterone
replacement therapy and have you seen any changes in AFib episodes?

Liver information
I had my blood sent in to be checked out and it came back that I was low in
testosterone
. My doctor ordered
testosterone
injections. I'm on my second one. I think my liver caused the
testosterone
issues. Do my question is this.

Castrate levels of Testosterone
My husband's
testosterone
level is 3nmol/L (86.5 ng/100ml). In the past year, his levels have ranged between 2-8 nmol/L. He's on quarterly Zoladex. I understand that castrate levels are ideally < 20 ng/100ml. If I understand correctly, his
testosterone
should be much lower.

Testosterone was slowly recovering after stopping all meds 8/10/2023 then started dropping!
While free of all drugs (Orgovyx, & LU-177) since August,
testosterone
had slowly rose to 152 then declined then a month later to 135, then 129 and a few days ago dropped to 39.5 Assumption was made that Xtandi blocked cancer receptors but did not lower

Testosterone too high?
I recently had my quarterly PSA and T tests, following stopping 18 months of ADT (Orgovyx) in April of 2022. PSA continued to de undetectable (<0.01) and T was 761. The last quarterly T was 706. Having had an initial PC Dx of GL9, Stage 4, Decipher .76 (July 2019) should I be concerned that T is

Testosterone Recovery: Orgovyx vs Lupron, Part-I
Here's plot from a 2020 paper in the New England Journal of Medicine by Neil Shore, et al. that shows Orgovyx has much faster "ON" and "OFF" changes in
testosterone
levels, compared to Lupron. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32469183/

Waiting for Mr. T
Blood tests were great, PSA and
testosterone
still undetectable. My MO decided to cancel my Eligard injection, mostly out of concern for my bone density (which became a problem last summer), and to let my
testosterone
recovery start sooner. (I'll still be on Abiraterone for 3 more months.)

Post treatment post ADT time to PSMA test
I planning on ending adjuvant ADT therapy within a few months and am aware of the lasting effects on
testosterone
(will take 6-12 months for decent
testosterone
levels ..hopefully). While traditional CT scans and bone scans showed no Mets, I want to get a PSMA scan soon or sometime post treatment.

Testosterone issue.
Getting my
testosterone
count so low is celebrated with MO. Not so much with PCP. By the way PSA is on the rising even though
Testosterone
is at it's lower.

PSA vs Testosterone plot has large scatter, but still confirms Morgentaler's Saturation Model.
The are three key takeaways: (1) Below about T = 100 ng/dL there is a linear relationship between PSA and
testosterone
, meaning, for example, that a 50% drop in
testosterone
implies that there will be a similar 50% drop in PSA (all other factors being equal).

Watching and waiting
Testosterone
level went from 14 to 117. The doctor reassured us that it’s good that his
testosterone
level is going back to normal however, didn’t we do the ADT to keep that from happening? Should we be concerned. And is there anything else we should do other than wait for another six months?
