Recommend thyroid/adrenal practitioner in Dublin please?
Hi, I'm new here! I was just diagnosed hypothyroid last week. I've great faith in my GP, but based on what she has told me already and what I've learnt myself since (largely reading posts here!) I can see that this is not her area of expertise. She only tested TSH and Free T4 - which I gather is fairly

Conversion of t4 to NDT
Hi, I am on 100 of Eltroxin and thinking of switching to NDT. I read in one of the posts that 1 grain is = to 75-100 of t4. Can anyone elaborate on that. 1 grain of NDT has 38 of t4 and I am at a loss to figure it out!

Evening or morning dose of Levo?
My endo insists that I take my daily Levothyroxine dose, 100 mcg Eltroxin, in the morning for best absorption. But this clashes with my need to eat breakfast before work or drink morning coffee. My Endo says leave 30-40 minutes after taking Levo. I need to take other medication (statins) and supplements

Levothyroxine Change
Has anyone changed to the Mercury Pharma Eltroxin since it has been back on the market, and if so, do they find it as good as the old Goldshield Eltroxin if they were on that. I and my son did very well on Goldshield and suffered terrible skin problems when changed to Mercury Pharma Generic Levothyroxine

BRONCHIAL ASTHMA DUE TO SENSITIVITY TO GUM ACACIA
For those who cannot tolerate Mercury Pharma levothyroxine, Mercury Pharma Eltroxin, and now new formulation Teva levothyroxine. Does this paper make sense to you? Do you feel asthmatic from taking these products? This paper was published in Canada in 1942. Still looking for anything more recent! [

Teva? General consensus on reformulation?
I take 150 mcg of Activis levo and have done so without any problems for last few years after I was unable to get Goldsheilds eltroxin. My consultant has requested I stick with this brand and all was well until i was told by the pharmacy at my Gps that they would only be dispensing Teva from now on.

Teva Levo
Hi I used to take Eltroxin but now I understand its not supplied any more. I have come out in a rash, I am waiting for my results to come back to see what is the cause. But in the mean time I have read that Teva is being reintroduced in to the UK market. Would anybody know do you require a special NHS

Block & Replace Therapy?
Hi Guys, Just back from the Endocrinologist here in Dublin and its not good news. I have Grave's but now I am Hypo. They have suggested block and replace, so now I am on Carbimozole and Eltroxin. Has anyone gone down this route at all? My Endo said its not really a method used in Ireland/Europe but common

Eltroxin - is it really available again and is it any good?
I have just found on the EMC+ website https://www.medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/22561 ... that Eltroxin seems to be available again as a branded product. Has anyone tried it, and is it the same as the old Eltroxin, (circa 2012) or is it merely the same as the Amco/Mercury Pharma generic Levothyroxine
