For those who have been through this, questions to ask?
Finished first line chemo (carbo/
taxol
) while in a PARP double blind clinical trial, December. Stayed on the PARP (much higher dose when done with chemo--felt nothing, no reaction and bloods stayed the same) since.

Any experiences or insights welcome.....
Currently I've had carboplatin and
taxol
chemotherapy but unfortunately this didn't work. I'm due to start a new regime of oxaliplatin and capecitabine in a couple of weeks.

First recurrence and immunotherapy being offered!
As some of you know, I was dx in June '16-Stage IV, BRCA positive, 6 cycles of carbo/
taxol
starting in August (debulking after 4 cycles) ending in December '16. I was on a clinical trial with a PARP inhibitor from the start of chemo--could be on a placebo of the real thing (double blind).

Carboplatin and gemcitabine
My previous treatment was the Carboplatin and
Taxol
, so the gem will be new to me. They may even throw in Avastin for good measure. Has anyone been on the carbo and gemcitabine? What kind of side effects did you have particularly on the gemcitabine?

Taxol and sore feet
Hi all, I've just started on Paclitaxel and after 3 days, my feet are so sore. The discomfort has started in my lower back, gone to the knees and now my ankles and soles of feet especially are so sore, it's hard to walk around. I have the gel socks and huge minion slippers to try to ease walking around

New Treatment
I have now gone through two chemos,
taxol
and Eribulin since diagnosis in July 2016. In both instances my situation improved with chemo but the liver only progressed I am told that there are other chemos to try and am trying to be optimistic and staying in touch with God for strength.

Ca125
My CA125 settled at 8 after first line chemo (carbo/
taxol
), and has stayed there for 2 months. I'm happily settling into remission with Avastin, but today my CA125 has come back as 9. I have had a hacking cough/virus but I'm panicked that this is the start of it all again.

Blood transfusion anyone?
Hi All After having 6 rounds of carbo
taxol
finishing 4 weeks ago I am absolutely wiped out and can only walk about 100 yds. I am having a blood transfusion on Saturday as blood tests show low readings. Has anyone else had to have one? If so how quickly did you feel the benefits? Fay

Hi Im being told I will likely receive weekly
taxol

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT
I don't have any personal experience with drug trials, my "COCKTAIL" was
TAXOL
/CARBOPLATNUM AND IT SEEMS TO DO THE TRICK, JUST PRAYER, AND LIVING ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Weekly Taxol plus Avastin
They have decided to use weekly
taxol
plus twice monthly avastin. On first line I had carbo/
taxol
. On the second day after treatment is when the severe fatigue set in and the ickys. Second line was avastin/doxil. I tolerated that incredibly well.

NiCCC BIBF1120 trial
I only had 5 of 6 carbo /
taxol
as it caused low blood levels, but apparently was totally ineffective . I was offered palliative care and a possibility of a clinical trial. It was quite a blow, and not delivered with a great deal of sensitivity.

She went through debulking surgery and 6 rounds Carbo/
Taxol
. She was deemed NED. She had a recurrence in abdominal lymph nodes earlier this year. They decided to surgically remove, chemo again carbo/gemzar (too much neuropathy from
Taxol
).

What options after chemo?
The doc then tried Gemzar and now
Taxol
. She previously indicated that she would try Caelyx if the
taxol
didn't work but Mam always seems to have an allergic reaction to her chemo so the consultant thinks it would make her worse.

Anyone with liver metastasis
It, along with the
taxol
, seems to have beaten the beast back for a good while! Just wondering if anyone has had the monster take up residence in their liver, and what was done. You are all in my thoughts and prayers every day. Thank you for your support....JudyV

Final update
I was offered weekly
taxol
and told this would have a 50% chance of bringing some relief but would be unlikely to resolve the bowel obstructions. I declined. I have been passed to palliative care and am now in the local Hospice.
