Choices - any views please from those who really know?!
which starts with
Taxol
then adds in cedanarib and finally olaparib ( both know effective and exciting for some women!) which mean we would move up to Manchester. Scary to leave my support team daughter etc behind! Final choice :
Taxol

Course of action is weekly
taxol
. Bye bye little bit of hair. Thought I’d opt for weekly as can get it done in my summer holidays off work and it will be two months rather than four. Hopefully after the chemo I’ll be able to have niraparib. Keeping my fingers crossed for that.

2nd Line finished
She finished her 2nd line treatment of Carbo/
Taxol
a couple weeks back. She unfortunately had a horrible reaction to carbo during her last infusion, so that had to be stopped, and now she's deemed allergic to it, as it was her third time in a row having a reaction. But on to the good news.

Third cancer is serous, caused in part by tamoxifen
I am 8 days out from my first carbo/
taxol
infusion. My protocol is 6 cycles. Every three weeks. Then vaginal cuff brady radiation. This does scare me. I remember the process for breast cancer radiation. It is a lot especially after the infusions.

1st Recurrence
She has suggested maybe weekly
Taxol
or Caelyx once a month, favouring the latter but the decision will be dependent on an EEG I’m having today.

so any advice would be great ladies!

Worried about mum ❤
She underwent 6 rounds of chemotherapy (Carbo/
Taxol
) with her final one in Jan this year. She was deemed to be too high risk for debulking surgery. Her CA125 levels on diagnosis were just shy of 9000, in January were 800, April 625 but then at her bimonthly appointment last week had risen to 2500.

Pet Worries
My oncologist was prepared to step in and offered me weekly
taxol
just to try and get on top of the effusions. I have said not yet because I think it would be a short term fix. I am still waiting to hear from the consultant radiologist who is currently on leave.

Can’t believe it misdiagnosed again now looks as though I also have kidney cancer.
Had mixed response to carbo on its own, decision was then made for wkly
taxol
again mixed response. At this point it was suggested I seek further help from the Christie’s. As they had no further treatment to offer me. Christie’s Where I had wanted to transfer to for over a year.

Taxol
On the
Taxol
issue I see people cringe when they hear it. I had ifosfimide and
Taxol
at highest dose. I saw people including myself not about to finish
Taxol
. I had slight emergency in the chair but got two whole rounds of it. It’s extremely harsh but needed.

Late/delayed effects of taxol and filgrastim (neupogen)?
Mum finished her 3rd line of treatment - weekly
Taxol
- a couple of months ago now. She had regular injections of filgrastim to keep her white cell count high, and although it worked, it gave Her terrible aches and pains.

Update on fasting mimicking diet
I am on my 4th cycle of Carbo
Taxol
today. First 2 were uncomplicated. Fasting has been much more difficult prior to the 3rd round:/ i have cheated a bit and had more watermelon on fasting days which were 600cal 4th day prior to chemo and than 300cal on remaining days including chemo day.

I'm new here - recurrence in Para Aortic Lymph Node
I then choose to stop with the IP (its pretty full on) and continue with the gold standard (
taxol
/carbo) for the remaining 3 cycles. Treatment finished Nov 2015 and CA125 was down to 9.
