Are you EGFR+?
At present this drug and erlotinib (
tarceva
) are used to treat people with EGFR+ tumours in England and Wales. In Scotland on erlotinib is currently licensed. If you have had experience of either drug and are EGFR+ it would be good to hear from you.

Travel Insurance
I am on
Tarceva
and Xgeva injections. I did get an online quote of 1,700. I phoned Euro Tunnel insurance and they agreed to insure me and my husband and cover pre existing conditions for £46 for both of us for two weeks. These are the only medical related questions.

Patients with EGFR Mutation
I'm happy to say at this point in time she is doing very well and is doing a lot of natural therapies (organic alkaline diet, hyperbaric chamber, going to the gym etc) as well as still taking
Tarceva
. I have to say back in February she was in a totally different place.

A two-year experience of Lung Cancer
The chemotherapy and radiotherapy didn’t work, which was pretty depressing, and my consultant then prescribed
Tarceva
(Erlotonib). This thankfully, stablised the cancer, after a month of Erlotonib, I then started a bone infusion of Zoladronic Acid.

Tarceva rash getting hubby down- any help/advice please
Hubby has been on
Tarceva
since August 2013- the good news is that the last scan showed that the tumour had shrank. The bad news is that the side effects are getting him down especially the rash which seems to be getting worse.

Hair Loss and thinning after taking Tarceva.
Then in November I was prescribed
Tarceva
150mg. Because of severe side effects I was taken off this tablet after 2 months. Also there was no change in the cancer. However I am still having effects from the tablet.

NICE decision on access to Gefitinib(Iressa) and Erlotinib (Tarceva).
We are pleased to see NICE's announcement today on second line treatment for non small cell lung cancer using Gefitinib (Iressa) and Erlotinib (
Tarceva
). Second line treatment is when someone needs further treatment after chemotherapy because their cancer has progressed.

Months not years
I am on 50mg zomorph twice daily and other meds and on a daily dose of 150mg
Tarceva
, so I hope for a miracle, you never know It is always in my mind that if that first doctor took me seriously in the first place then things might not have been so bad now.

Tarceva to be stopped
Lung cancer patients will be denied
Tarceva
because The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has changed its guidance on the drug It's currently an option for 1,000 people a year after chemo has failed Experts say Nice's decision will send cancer care 'backwards'.

Tarceva, bone mets and pain
I have had 1 dose of radiation on my hip and rib cage for bone mets and am on my 5th month of
Tarceva
. My scan last month showed the lung cancer had shrunk a bit but I had multiple and larger bone Mets. I have had new pains in my ribs and left shoulder and the hip pain is returning quite bad.

Tarceva/Erlotinib side effect
Good morning all My husband, Brian, is not coping well with the rash, finds it very irritating and is having problems sleeping. He is using the steroid cream but that does not seem to help. I shall be contacting his LCNS tomorrow but wondered whether any one here can help. Thank you.
