Med Side Effects & Tumor Markers
Well, I saw my Oncologist's Assistant today and explained that taking the Ibrance 75 mg and Tamoxifen 10 mg every other day wasn't working for me and I had only taken half of my dosage for the month. She informed me that I was supposed to be taking it every day! Say what?! Never heard that! And she

Now What?
My 75 mg Ibrance and 10 mg Tamoxifen took about 2 weeks to hit hard. I was doing great the first week, thrilled that I seemed to be handling the lower dosage. Then Bam! The joint aches and exhaustion hit and I finally stopped all meds to regroup. I'll try it again and pray it works, see what my next

Stopping letrozole
I was diagnosed in 2010 with breast cancer. Had mastectomy and lymph node removal. While being tested for chemo tumour found in lung and lobe removed. I then had chemo and radiotherapy and commenced on tamoxifen. I then relocated and ? Advances in research and post menopausal was changed to letrozole

Apixaban and tamoxifen ( and by chance spotted amiodarone on list)
Have just started tamoxifen tonight after breast cancer and know it can cause DVTs etc occasionally. Oncologist felt as I am apixaban it would not be an issue. The data sheet suggests if you are taking warfarin or similar it is not ideal but big cheese aware . Being of a nosey disposition, after a Google

Tamoxifen
I have been on Letrizole for over a year and just can't tolerate the side effects any longer Extreme weakness, fatigue, and dizziness to name a few. My onc wants to change my medication to Tamoxifen even though she feels Letrizole is the better choice. Have any of you gone from Letrizole to Tamoxifen

So I finished chemo almost 2 weeks ago, have to see my oncologist next week to discuss what happens next. I have an idea of course: tamoxifen. That’s what she plans on putting me on but honestly I want a BREAK!! I want my body to recover from this chemo. I feel like I’ve been good and have followed my

Update: Experience with Estradiol patches for ADT
I have had in the past (2012) what I consider to be quite terrible side effects from ADT with LHRHa (Eligard similar to Lupron). So recently when I needed to start short-term ADT as adjuvant to pelvic lymph node radiation (IMRT with boost to nodes) I chose to try Estradiol patches. Now 7 weeks in and

Tamoxifen producing painful windy stomach?
Am new here. Has anybody had similar indigestion whilst taking tamoxifen.?.. Suffered cancer in breast, lumpectomy, and lymph node clearance a year later Taking tamoxifen for a month, changed over after a year of Letrozol as I kept looking at the alendronic acid and not taking it, and already had osteoporosis

Daily Casodex 50mg and Tamoxifen 10mg - Amazing results in 40 days.
My urologist called yesterday with results of latest PSA and Axumin Scan. PSA fell from 65.7 to 1.7 after starting 50mg Casodex along with 10mg Tamoxifen. The scan showed the tumor next to the wall of the rectum had decreased from 5.4 SUV TO 3.5 SUV and showed no new occurrences of cancer. I was diagnosed

Anyone out there with recurrent non-metastatic breast cancer?
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I hope you can help me. I was first diagnosed in 2009 with stage 2 IDC(invasive ductal carcinoma) in my right breast. Had a lumpectomy, chemo (ACT) and 6 weeks of radiation. In March 2013, I found another lump in the same breast. Had a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction

Update on starting Estradiol Patches for RT ADT
I started Estradiol Patches (4 X 0.1mg/24hr twice weekly patches; one patch changed out daily) 5 days ago. This is for short-term ADT as adjuvant for IMRT of oligometastatic disease of the left pelvic lymphatics identified on Ga-PSMA scan at UCLA. One week in and 10 days more until the RT (60Gy/30fx)

Hi I don’t writ very often and only scan from time to time but I did write the other day and here I am again,. 2PET/CT Scans and an MRI showed nothing but my count was up to 75 so my oncologist surgeon said he wanted to do a laparoscopy. Well had that yesterday and sure enough it’s back after 21/2 years

Tamoxifen with fluoxetine
Has anyone been prescribed tamoxifen while on fluoxetine? I had to change from letrozole to tamoxifen recently because of side effects causing me bladder problems but have recently read fluoxetine inhibits the effectiveness of the tamoxifen. Should I be worrying about this. The oncology doctor agreed

Dutasteride and Tamoxifen (T->DHT blocker and SERM)
Are these contraindicated? I have prostate cancer and am doing cycles of casodex/dutasteride/zytiga, then estrogen patches/zytiga, then testosterone injections/dutasteride. Should Tamoxifen only be used during the estrogen patch/zytiga portion of the cycle? Thanks

Still on the roller coaster.
Where to begin.....On Friday morning I heard that my house buyer had withdrawn their offer and pulled out. At the same time I was told another potential buyer had made an offer which I was happy to accept😊. Still on Friday morning I had an email from Rightmove with a new offering - this time one that

Life's ups and downs
Sometimes things chug along nicely and sometimes things gum up the works so that nothing goes right. Not sure where I'm at, at the moment but things could be better. The last week in June I put my house up for sale, the 3rd of July having found a lump in my breast i went to the walk in clinic
