Exhaustion may not be thyroid related!
Hi all, just wanted to share my recent experience which came as a complete shock/surprise. So, usual story, feeling exhausted, needing to nap all the time, barely able to function. This feeling has been even worse since new year, barely able to get out of bed. Now, I knew I was a poor converter and needed

The BTA/SfE new consensus statement on T3, published today 5 June. Views?
The BTA/SfE said nearly 2 years ago that they were writing a new T3 consensus statment. It's published today. The joint thyroid patient groups believe that NHSE, RMOC and PrescQIPP are waiting to read this before they finalise their new T3 guidance, and will base theirs around this. They all wrote drafts

Anyone able to but T3 OTC in Cyprus?
I am going to Cyprus soon Paphos region and was hoping to top up my T3 supplies whilst there, has anyone been able to purchase T3 OTC in Cyprus recently? Would it help if I took some of my prescribed T3 (Mercury Pharma brand) and prescription to show that I am genuine and it’s for my own use?

Percent of range
Since your group likes to go by percent of range could you tell me an example of what makes a good balance on free t4, free t3 and tsh. Should they all fall around 50 percent of the range being used for your particular lab?

Hashimotos or secondary hypothyroidism?
Hello, I recently had positive test results for thyroid antibodies, but my TSH and T4 remain in range, but low end. My doctor has suggested that I start treatment to prevent hypothyroidism developing. Actually I already have many key symptoms and I am struggling to cope. I also have a B12 deficiency

Levothyroxine and Propranolol
Hello, The other day, and purely out of interest, I used the NHS app to read up about Propranolol (P). I could not believe that I have been prescribed a drug that interferes with Thyroxine (T) uptake. P was prescribed by Consultant who was made aware of existing medications. GP has requested lowering

Greek T3
Hi, just to say I’m on holiday in Skala, Kefalonia and had planned to stock up on T3. The pharmacist told me it was impossible to get hold of any - it’s all being sold to the UK!! Bah.

Brother Hypo & Gallstones
My brother has been on 75 mcg Accord T4 for a couple of weeks ( will re test in four weeks) When diagnosed he was very hypo and feeling awful TSH. 20 FT4. 8. (12-22) FT3. 4.3. (3-6) Is there a connection between hypo and gallstones? I took my brother to A&E three days ago and he is still in hospital

has anyone felt not great on T3?
I’m on a T3 trial and haven’t felt like myself on it since I started, my TSH is too low for my Endo, who will want to reduce my meds next week. Has anyone gone down from 10mg to 5 mg and felt better? My endo reduced my T4 to go on the trail and I’ve gotten her to increase it back up a little but I

results…help please…
It’s weird…bloods look good…No
T3
as they don’t
test
it. I can’t say I feel absolutely awful like I did on the 50mcg, but I thought I would feel better than I do with those numbers. Bit worried. Any ideas what’s going on lovely people? 1) Am I now overmedicated?

going up the walls
guys I am seeking advice. after having my children in 2013 and 2015 I have never been the same person. I have suffered with every single symptom of hypothyroidism. in the end i actually went hyper for a few years which other than the hair loss and lack of sleep I thought I’d become well again. Well

Hello Everyone, I have been on 1 3/8 grain NDT and less to 1 1/4 grain NDT (pressure of Consultant) for over a year. Feeling jittery and shaky over the last month, barely able to stand, achy muscles after eating. I have over the last week spread the dose from twice a day to three times a day, but

unusual test results
why would my T3 be high in the range with T4 mid range? After a few hard months of GP changing my meds I’m now back up to 175mcg of Levo. Just had my results and they are nothing I’ve had before it’s always T4 above my T3 .Just wondering why and what might have caused this ? TSH. 0.11 0.55-4.78

My enocrinologist appt today - first in 6 years
I hadnt seen an endo since mine retired and I was happy to self
test
and adjust
T3
. This cortisol problem was seen as Cushings by my ill informed GP and today I had an appt with a new endo. I was terrified that my T3 would be blamed and my prescription stopped. I was so wrong.
