statins
and PCa that I have seen so far is that they compare patients who obviously had high cholesterol and were prescribed

Waiting forever after complications with an Angiogram
I finally saw a specialist in outpatients 6 weeks after the first incident who ran another ECG and I was then told I had definitely had a heart attack, that I needed to be prescribed beta-blockers, GTN spray and Nicorandil on top of the
statins
and that I should have an angiogram in the next 14 days.

How soon do
statins
generally start causing muscle pain ( If at all). I've lived with chronic pain; FIbromyalgia , adhesions and neuropathy for years. I 've taken oxycodone for 19 years. Had Fibro for 40 years and the rest for 20 so it's really difficult to work out what's making me so much worse.

Clopidogrel makes me feel unwell.
Hi, had a TIA on the 7th of December, only diagnosed last Thursday (2nd ) the consultant prescribed Clopidogrel and
statins
I refused the
statins
as my cholesterol is only 4.5 and assured the doctor I would bring it down to 4 via diet, ( already reduced it from 7.6 by diet ) , he was happy about that

Statin Use Is Associated with Lower Risk of PTEN-Null and Lethal Prostate Cancer
"Molecular tumor classification identified PTEN and inflammation/immune activation as potential mechanisms linking
statins
with lower lethal prostate cancer risk."

Fibroscan shows slight fatty liver
I also have high cholesterol, but have no other markers for cardio or stroke so have refused
statins
. The only fats I eat are from nuts and olive and coconut oil. Does anyone have any information on fatty liver and what dietary or natural treatments for this? Thanks!

Muscle tiredness when on Atorvastatin.
I’ve only been on
Statins
a few days but noticed I can’t walk as far as usual and have to rest a lot. Even doing things around the house is taking more effort. Will this effect lessen?

I do eat meat and probably too many sweets but would appreciate any tips on lowering my cholesterol without taking
statins
if possible. I am care giver to my three grandchildren ages 7,4 and 2 and hope to be around for them. for a bit longer.

Holding off statins challenge 🙄
Hi...happy new year🥰 My annual check showed my nhs cholesterol level at 13 whatever that means but should be under 10 so I said I will seriously try to lower this myself as
statins

How long
I am on the usual bisoporol,
statins
, aspirin ticelgror and rampiril. Had to stop monomil as well (GP advised) and GKNN spray as I reacted so violently. GKN spray had me back in a and e as I passed out. Any helpful comments?

Bad reaction to Atorvastatin
I am not even that convinced about
statins
. A lot of conflicting results keep coming out about the benefits, especially dubious for over 70 s. Just wanted anybody who is undergoing a similar experience that things will probably end up ok for you.
