Ascites .
My husband has decompensated cirrhosis with ascites which has caused major fluid retention. He has had it drained on a regular basis and tried diuretics which then caused kidney problems! He just had spironolactone increased to 100mgs., but still can't get fluid under control. Has anyone else experienced

Veins and blood thinners
This is a long shot, but although I have been on a number of pills for a few years, ie levothyroxine, bisoprolol, furosemide, pravastatin and losartan, also flecainide but that has been stopped after my ablation. I was started on Rivaroxaban before an ablation, last December and after two or three months

Breathlessness
Hi Forum Friends, last year I was diagnosed with AF after a health check ECG. I have never had any symptoms of this no attacks or problems. I am on 2.5 bisoprolol, Antorvastatin, Ramipril, Apixaban and Furosemide. My problem is breathlessness. 100 yards and I am wrecked. I was so fit a year ago, gym

Spironolactone
Does anyone have experience of taking
Spironolactone
? I've been on
Furosemide
2 x 40 mg for ages but it's started giving me very painful episodes of gout, the last one in my hand, which interfered with everything, in addition to being excruciating.

Ablation follow up appointment !!!
Today was my post ablation follow up appointment. ( Feb 28th) Obviously still in NSR as I definitely know when I’m in af. Now we’re going to have a go without the Dronedarone fingers crossed 🤞. I questioned all the other drugs that I’m on as sometimes I feel like no one takes the time to re-evaluate

Second Post-Bypass Review – Getting There Slowly
So yesterday I went for my second review and to pick up the results of a host of blood tests a week ago. Again the (new to the practice) GP was very through checking BP, weight, pulse and oedema. It was felt that the oedema had cleared (post-op electrolyte imbalance) and that I could now drop the Frusemide

Furosemide
My husband has been prescribed Furosemide diuretic for fluid build up due to heart irregularities . He already has a low weight . This was discussed with the GP who said he was not over concerned about the weight , and any loss with the tablets . Blood pressure has dropped to 98/44 since the tablets

Furosemide
My doctor prescribed 40 mg/day, 4 days on, 3 days off for me for when I travel---my nickname is "swellin' Helen" every time I get on a plane. LOL. I did a trial run for 4 days, and am not supposed to take it for the next 3... does that mean I will just gain back the 12 pounds of water weight I lost (

Pregnancy with Dilated Cardiomyopathy
Hello I wanted to see if anyone has advice or knowledge or experience of pregnancy with this condition? I am 29 and was diagnosed at 22 with the condition. I am currently stable and in a much better position than 7 years ago due to the medication I take. In order to have a baby I would have to come off
